10th ANNUAL
BULL SALE
Cowtown Livestock Exchange, Maple Creek 1 : 0 0 p m C S T | T u e s d ay
ON OFFER 22 yearling Registered Black Angus bulls
CHANGE they say a change is as good as a rest. Well, I hope ‘they’ are right because we have had plenty of change around here. Having sold the main ranch, we are now operating out of the Golden Prairie property. Most of our facilities are near completion and we have a cow herd of 90 which reflects the maternal qualities we strive for. This year we are selling only yearling bulls and retaining our heifers as replacements. Hopefully, next year we will be able to have a sale with more numbers and some replacement heifers. A good friend asked me if it is a good time to be investing. I think it is – if you’re investing in agriculture. The future to me looks very promising. However, you must use the same principles as in the stock market. Only invest in good solid stock, manage it well and your herd will increase in value.
We are hosting a “Field Day/Open House” on SUNDAY, MAY 23rd AT 1:00 pm. We would be so pleased to show you around our new facilities and have you look at the bulls, heifers and Mama cows. Your health and safety are priorities to us so we will ensure a safe, socially distanced environment.
CALVING EASE we have rated each bull (in our opinion based on all available information).
⭑⭑⭑.
HEIFER BULL
should produce minimal problems when bred to moderate size first calf heifers.
LARGE HEIFER/COW BULL
⭑⭑.
I would like to thank all our customers for past bull purchases and your support and trust in our program. We are striving to continue to supply you with productive functional bulls who sire calves that put more money in your pockets.
recommended for second calvers or smaller framed cows
This year’s calf crop has been culled hard and is full of performance and frame. They are mainly born in April but will be mature enough for an early June turn out. This program works for us and a lot of our customers who will get an opportunity to evaluate their breeding needs for the current year. Take care all,
as per Dr. Luke Runnion DVM Yearlings have been given two shots of Fusogard for foot rot and have received Ivomec - pour on
Tom, Vicki, Cindy and girls.

LeVerne “Bushy” Lund OUR SPECIAL FRIEND 1954 – 2021
Our relationship with Bushy started in 2001 when we were building a new house and our contractor suffered a severe injury in a fall on the job. Murray recovered thank God. Bushy walked in and took over helping us to finish the job and again thank God. Bushy could build anything and was willing to give most any job a try. Bushy never left when that job was done. He just stayed and we went on to build two ranches, install three irrigation pivots, drill wells and build up a 300-cow herd. He and Wendy became invaluable to the ranch operation. When we sold the ranch, it was with mixed feelings that we left Bushy with the new owner who realized Bushy’s great value at the place and almost insisted that he stay. Bushy did not miss a beat. As he explained, “I changed horses in mid-stream and rode for the new brand”. We hope he’s doing just that again wherever he is now. Farewell dear friend.
