– A Few Words from Castlerock Marketing – Welcome to the Lookout Stock Farm Bull Sale!

Shane Castle CASTLEROCK MARKETING Cell: 306-741-7485 Ph: 306-784-2241

The sons of McCumber Wolf and Lookout Dry Chief are also an excellent set of bulls that offer a little extra frame but with light birthweights and some extra growth.

We are more than excited to be working with such good people like Roy, Cindy and the boys! This offering is a very interesting set of bulls full of quality, outcross pedigree and a powerful set of cows.

The Canuck bull calves are an excellent set long bodied, sound made and chock full of muscle. The Canuck bred heifers last fall averaged over $3800 and were highly sought after for their broodiness, eye appeal and overall balance. Canuck was a feature in the First “Canadian Legacy” Sale last fall in Olds and was selected by Forsyth Ranch and Steinley Farms for $10,000. Next are the Dynasty's, also a sale highlight last fall with the six daughters averaging over $3600 and Dynasty, himself, selling to Ricky Hyland of Ramona, South Dakota. Considersable interest has been surrounding Dynasty for so manyreasons but all equaling his quality and consistent breeding pattern. His sons on offer will be the largest offering available in Canada, ever, and is an excellent opportunity to purchase a top quality son.

Last but certainly not least are the WAF Zorzal 321U calves. Bulls or heifers the breeding consistency of Zorzal are second to none. Another outcross pedigree but the quality and growth of the bulls is excellent. Zorzal was appraised last fall at $75,000 and was the talk of the fall. Here is your only chance to buy a Zorzal son this spring. A great chance to get in on the ground floor. If you have any questions regarding the bulls feel welcome to contact Roy, Cindy, Jay or myself regarding the offering. Seize the opportunity ahead of you to purchase some of these genetics which aren't readily available. Delivery will be available to get them as close to your yard is part of your investment and partnership with one of the most enthusiastic Angus breeders you will come across. See you sale day! Shane Castle Castlerock Marketing.

A homeraised bull out of the $60,000 Tom Boy 509R bull we sold at Agribition in 2007 and what a powerful herdsire he is. Jerry Johnson, a good friend and cattleman purchased 1/2 interest in Canuck 26u in 2009 which gave us the opportunity to use this bull. His dam, 283M, has been a favorite of anyone visiting, is out of 98y who was part of a package of Willabar cows we purchased years ago thrusting our herd forward. Canuck adds a little more bone and power to his calves and his daughters that sold in our bred female dispersal were very well accepted. We truly feel this bull will leave a lasting impact.

A straight Canadian bred bull that has left a major impact on our herd, 19T has cleared every test to date with flying colors and after calving his first set of daughters last year, we feel that he is just going to hit his stride. Dynasty was purchased by Ricky Hyland of Ramona, South Dakota last fall and after having him on display at the stud in Billings, others are catching on to how good this bull is. Dynasty is a consistent breeder leaving easy fleshing, early maturing, moderate framed sons and daughters. This is a top notch set of sons out of this bull, great breeding from a great pedigree.

A tremendous muscle pattern, clean structure, big top, large scrotal and he knew he was a bull. Watching closely as Zorzal developed over the next year, we were able to secure a deal to lease and then purchase Zorzal, a great move for our program. The proof is in the pudding now as what a set of calves! The heifer calves are phenomenal and the bull calves are long-bodied, masculine reproductions of Zorzal as a young bull. We sold our interest in Zorzal last fall at the Remington Dispersal where he commanded everyone’s attention and sold for $75,000 to French River Cattle Co. This is the oldest set of sons available and with the freedom of pedigree and the consistency in his breeding ability; we feel this bull will leave his mark for years to come. News Update: Zorzal just sired the Top Selling Heifer at the LLB Spring Bull and Female Sale for $30,000.

3y is the performance bull of the pen with some added scale to his frame, bone, length and muscle. His pedigree represents not only power and performance, but also a maternal heritage that has been proven over and over. These Zorzal bulls are very correct as a sire group and offer a complete outcross pedigree to North American genetics. The dam, 123T, is a hard working, great uddered young cow that now resides in Ontario at French River Cattle Co.

A long bodied, smooth made calf that commands your attention in the pen. His overall substance and balance make this bull an easy find in the pen. A moderate birthweight and a tucked in shoulder could make 7y a candidate for your heifer pen as well as cows. His dam calls French River Cattle Co in northern Ontario home.

Survivor would have been a more appropriate name for this bull as he lost his dam shortly after he was born and fended for himself throughout the summer running with the herd with no special care. 453P was a beautiful cow that we purchased from Dryland Angus in 2005. She is also the dam to the Dry Chief bull that did a great job for Jerry as can be seen in the four sons in the sale as well. Don’t discount the breeding potential in this good young calf for not weighing with the rest of the pen. He has made it this far strictly on his own will to survive!

27y, a smaller framed Zorzal son that shows many of the characteristics which caught our eye on Zorzal when we saw him the first time, is a Great Heifer Bull Prospect that shows a great base to him on a correct structure. His dam, 67u is a really good young Tom Boy daughter which Wilbar Farms picked up from the sale last fall and are really happy with.
