WelcomeFrom This marks our second year of selling bulls off the farm. We are very excited about this group of bulls and the direction our operation is headed. This past year has been challenging yet very successful for us. Our ranch is moving to a more extensive operation. We are moving to May calving and we will be offering one more set of winter yearling bulls (this year and spring of 2020) with the first group of long yearling (all ET) bulls being for sale in 2021! Our ranch will be run like our commercial customers, as a no excuse operation. Our purebred cows run with our commercial cows. We will graze until February and then move to swath grazing (the commercial cows are already on this program). We run a strict 45-day breeding season with no second chances. We have also implemented a rule that a purebred cow must raise us a sale bull or replacement heifer within 2 years or she’s gone. We think the best way to get a bull that can perform well in commercial conditions is to raise him in commercial conditions. We are excited about the direction we are moving and we hope you are too! Our family has continued to grow with the birth of our second son Bennett William, born July 27, 2018. Time goes by fast and he is a happy growing boy who can roll over and loves his bath. Wade is 2 and a half now and he loves being a big brother, riding his horse and anything to do with tractors or cows. Our household is very busy, but we enjoy it. TERMS AND CONDITIONS All bulls sell under the standard terms and conditions of the Canadian Angus Association. EPD’s in this catalogue are the most recent available at press time. Supplemental sheets given during tours prior to purchase supersede information in this catalogue. All bulls are vaccinated with Bovi-Shield Gold FP5, Covexin Plus, and 2 doses of Fusogard, and have been tested negative for BVD and Johne’s disease. Bulls will be kept for free until April 15 with free delivery. At the time of private treaty sale, a $1000 deposit per bull will hold any bulls chosen until delivery, at which time payment is due in full. All bulls will be semen tested and the deposit will be returned if a bull does not pass a breeding soundness evaluation.

oo We are very happy with our new herd sire Easton 157E. We used Easton as a yearling in two breeding seasons this year - in May/June with the purebred cows and July/August with the commercial cows. He was a very active breeder with 95% conception rates in both breeding seasons. He has not had any feed yet this winter except brown grass and protein mineral and has continued to gain weight. We think this is the type of bull that will sire practical cattle that will last. We are excited for his calves and we think our customers will be too. He bred the entire purebred mature cowherd, and we expect a large group of summer ET calves sired by him. We also were fortunate enough to flush his dam twice and are excited to see many maternal siblings to him in our first 2-year-old sale group. He is a sound footed, deep, thick, easy fleshing bull in a moderate package.
