2014 bar4a bull sale

WELCOME

nnual A Bull Sale to our

Bar 4A Cattle Company would like to welcome you to our annual bull sale. We would like to thank you for your interest and we are sincerely grateful to be in this business. We are second generation pure bred breeders but relatively new to having our own bull sale. We are here for the long haul and want to build old and new relationships in the cattle industry. We respect all cattlemen and woman that have had the grits to ride out the rocky cattle industry that Canada has had. We look forward to gaining your trust and building a relationship with you. We continuously strive to improve our genetics and we hope that the improvements are visible to you, the buyers. We believe that there are better times coming for the cattle industry and we hope to see you all there. We have had a lot of growth this past year and we are excited about it. We have expanded our Black Angus numbers to almost half of our herd and you will see that red/black split in our bulls on offer. We were able to do this with the help of three amazing breeders; Brian and Kim

Payton, Joleen, Hugh an

d Douglas

Geis (Geis Angus Farm), Darren and Joanne Unger (U2 ranch), and Bryan and Sherry Mackenzie (Brylor Ranch). We have brought home a pile of amazing females from these farms. We have used numerous cattle out of their operations for years; they’ve always worked great for us and have continually strengthened our herd. We have expanded our land base into the BC peace for summer grazing and hopefully allowing for some more growth. We are very pleased with the group of bulls on offer and they are definitely our best yet. We believe they will work well for you and cross well. We look forward to hearing from you and visiting with you on sale day. Please give us a call and stop by the farm. We would love to show you around the bulls or cows. Thanks and see you soon.

Here is a great son of the U2 Herc Bull. This guy is a maternal brother to our home raised Timed Perfect sire. He was one of our reserve champion pen of 3 from the Peace Country Bull Congress. He has developed into a real power house and is definitely one of our favorites. His dam, HJA 212W, has raised 3 calves all which have been bulls. The two bulls before this guy have been best sellers. She is amazing and she’s done it again.

2014 bar4a bull sale

SPECIAL RECOGNITION Eric Jaarsma has joined us as our Farm Manager. Eric uprooted his beautiful wife Robyn and their children; Alyssa and Faith from Smithers, BC to good ole La Glace, AB. Since the move, they had another blessing with Adam. They have brought with them a wide range of experience that covers everything from cattle health, management, day to day operations, and AI’ing. Eric is extremely hard working; and we appreciate you. Thank you. Eric’s parents and their family followed Eric and Robyn out to La Glace too. Not only was this great for them, it benefited us too; because they are often at the farm too helping us. You are a big help. Thank you Levi and Johnny.

Myron Fennel has just joined us at the start of calving and has been a life saver. Everyone was over worked and underpaid when he showed up. Myron is one of those extremely capable hands that you can trust, hand over the reins and never have a worry. We are so thankful you joined our operation. Thank you Myron. Mom and Dad. What can we say… We will forever be in your debt. Your support is never ending and means so much to us. You think you are retired, but we know it is a full time job helping us. Thank you for everything. Mom. Thanks for being my personal secretary, bookkeeper, and all around amazing mom. Thank you.
