Editor's letter This is the third weekly lookbook in our August 2026 series. If this is the first one you are opening, welcome. I am Sneh. I run the bridal counter at Paras Gallery Fabrics in Lajpat Nagar. Every week I photograph 10 to 15 thaans that are actually in our shop right now, and I write down what I would tell a bride if she was standing in front of me. Prices are current for the week the lookbook is published. Karigar time is what we are quoting for orders placed this week. Nothing here is stock-photo styling. The lookbook is free to browse. Bride tip. Never iron organza directly. Always use a muslin cloth between the iron and the sequin side. This one habit saves a Rs. 30,000 lehenga from a shiny burn mark.

Raw silk, Banarasi tissue, and dupatta fabrics Raw silk family Bottle green raw silk (90 gsm) Rs. 1,080 / metre · Width 46 in Structured, holds pleats. Karigars love it for kalis because it does not stretch under gota patti.
Powder pink raw silk (soft finish) Rs. 1,150 / metre · Width 46 in Softer hand-feel than the standard raw silk. Best for engagement anarkalis.
Banarasi tissue family Maroon Banarasi tissue with meenakari Rs. 2,100 / metre · Width 44 in Real katan pure silk warp. Mother-of-the-bride keeps circling back to this. Dry-clean only.
Dupatta section — chinon and net Peach chinon crepe dupatta Rs. 480 / metre · Width 44 in Lightest bridal dupatta we stock. Falls off the shoulder without slipping every 10 minutes.
Rani pink net with sequin scatter Rs. 380 / metre · Width 60 in Haldi and mehendi crowd. Turmeric will stain a light fabric, so we push brides towards deep shades.
Where brides over-spend. The dupatta. A well-chosen chinon at Rs. 480 outperforms a heavy Banarasi dupatta at Rs. 2,200 for actual wearability on a 6-hour reception. Save the Banarasi budget for the lehenga base instead.
