The highly anticipated annual fundraising event happened at the Reno Livestock Center, providing the perfect setting for the Country Hits pops concert. Conducted by Laura Jackson and headlined by Nashville stars Emily West and Rick Brantley, the concert thrilled an audience of nearly 1,550 attendees and raised approximately $194,000 to support the Reno Phil’s operations.

August 5, 2024 | Sand Harbor This high-energy concert had the audience on their feet, dancing along as guest vocalists and the orchestra brought Tina Turner’s legendary music to life. The crowd especially came alive during “Proud Mary,” with plenty of enthusiastic renditions of Tina’s iconic dance moves.
MUSIC & MULLIGANS GOLF CLASSIC September 23, 2024 Somersett Golf & Country Club
The fourth Music & Mulligans Golf Tournament raised over $20,000 for the Reno Phil and drew a record number of participants. Highlights included harp serenades, a traveling violinist taking song requests, and a lively chipping contest into a sousaphone!

September 28 & 29, 2024 Pioneer Center Launching the Classix Series was Beethoven’s Eroica. With the theme of this show being heroes, the Phil offered complimentary tickets to first responders in recognition of their efforts during the Davis Fire. About 80 local heroes attended as our guests.

December brought the highly anticipated Spirit of the Season, which transformed the concert hall into a holiday circus wonderland treating audiences to a magical blend of musical and acrobatic talent. The show featured stunning acts from the Tintabulations Handbell Ensemble, Fascinating Rhythm, Dapper Tappers, Biggest Little Circus, and the incomparable Cliff Porter on vocals.

For the first time in our 56-year history, the Reno Phil Orchestra performed Bruckner’s Romantic Symphony. This sweeping 70-minute masterpiece, with its five intricate movements, challenged and inspired our musicians, making it an exhilarating experience to share with the Reno community. When Laura became sick and could not conduct, Ankush Kumar Bahl stepped in as the guest conductor to ensure the show went on!

The Reno Phil was thrilled to feature cellist Sterling Elliott as the soloist for this concert. Sterling captivated audiences with his remarkable talent and charismatic stage presence.
