As we look ahead to an exciting new season at Crow Valley Golf Club, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support of our team and the pride you take in Crow Valley. Your words of affirmation during the Clubhouse Refresh have been a constant reminder of the great membership our staff are happy to serve.
After months of planning, collaboration, and hard work, we are thrilled to announce the opening of our newly refreshed clubhouse. This project would not have been possible without the thoughtful collaboration of our House Remodel Committee, the outstanding partnership with our design team at Knauer Architects, and the excellent craftsmanship of Estes Construction. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence helped bring our vision to life We’re pleased to share the project is tracking to key milestones and aligned with our budget as we finalize plans for the grand opening
As we prepare to welcome members back into this beautiful new space our focus has shifted to what matters most: our people and the experience we provide Over the coming weeks, our team will be engaged in comprehensive opening staff training programs, designed to ensure we deliver the level of service, hospitality, and consistency you expect at Crow Valley We are pleased to share that the clubhouse will begin with a soft opening on March 20th, allowing our team to thoughtfully transition into full operations Our Grand Opening celebration will take place on March 28th, and we look forward to celebrating this milestone with you More details and times are listed throughout this newsletter.

Nadia is an MBA student and is heading to the University of Iowa Law School this fall. Hana is obtaining her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Texas Dr Okba is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Modern Woodman of America and is originally from Cairo, Egypt!
Nick and Jessica Needham are excited to start their membership journey at Crow this year and would like to introduce everyone to their family Nick is the president of Needham Excavating, Inc., based out of Walcott, IA. Jessica is a Literacy Consultant at the Mississippi Bend AEA, out of Bettendorf, and she travels and works with multiple schools in the area Together, they have six children: Kori, Keaten, Emersyn, Kinsley, Reese, and Easton!

Lori and John have been QC natives ever since they moved here in 1998 Their son is currently completing a fellowship in health care administration at Michigan, while their daughter is obtaining a degree as a nurse practitioner at the University of Iowa. John is a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and is the current president of the Eye Surgeons Associates Lori has worked for L’Oreal in NYC and the 360 Ad agency in Atlanta over the years. She also played a key role in developing the Eye Surgeons Associates LASIK service!

Dear Members,
Recently our House Committee identified that there are Crow Valley Members who have wanted to participate in our wine locker program but are unable to access the program due to space limitations. Therefore, our team has adjusted the program to allow for more members to access some of the benefits that were previously exclusive to our wine locker program. We hope that this new program adds a level of transparency and openness to our club offerings.

The Newest Zack
Crow Valley is pleased to welcome Zackary Vilmont as our new Restaurant Manager. Most recently, Zackary served as Resort Director of Food and Beverage at a Hilton Grand Vacations property in Orlando, Florida, where he led resort‐level dining operations with a strong focus on service excellence, team development, and guest satisfaction. Zackary is excited to be back home in the Quad Cities area and looks forward to bringing his hospitality leadership experience to Crow Valley He is eager to work closely with our culinary and service teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our members and their guests while honoring the traditions that make the Club special.

Dear Members,
Earlier this month, we had the privilege of representing our club at the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show, hosted by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America in Orlando, Florida This year is the Centennial year of the inception of the GCSAA. This milestone event brought together golf course superintendents, industry leaders, researchers, and equipment manufacturers from around the world to collaborate on the future of our profession.
The week began with advanced educational seminars covering agronomy, environmental stewardship, equipment innovation, and operational management. I chose to concentrate primarily on leadership and team development areas that directly impact the consistency and quality of your experience on the course. Sessions focused on cultivating strong team culture, developing emerging leaders within our staff, and implementing effective strategies to attract and retain top-tier talent in a competitive labor market.
Equally valuable was the trade show component, featuring more than 500 industry partners showcasing the latest advancements in turf equipment, irrigation technology, environmental solutions, and course conditioning tools. Having the opportunity to evaluate these products firsthand allows us to thoughtfully assess innovations that may enhance efficiency, sustainability, and overall course presentation here at Crow Valley.
Attending this conference and Centennial celebration was both inspiring and reaffirming Our commitment remains centered on continuous improvement elevating course conditions, strengthening our team, and ensuring Crow Valley continues to meet the highest standards expected of a premier private club. I look forward to implementing what I’ve learned as we prepare for the season ahead.
