Dear Members,
As we move into the heart of summer, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for making Crow Valley such a vibrant place to be Thank you for making Crow Valley such an active and enjoyable place this summer. It's been great to see members and families participating in so many events across the Club.
From the outset of the season, our goal was to offer a wide
variety of activities throughout the Club. From complimentary treats and family activities to live music, DJs, and themed weekends, our goal has been to create engaging experiences that bring members together. Even with Mother Nature forcing a few cancellations along the way, the positive feedback and strong attendance have reinforced our team's commitment to making the Club a destination for families and friends all summer long We shared early in the season that your feedback matters and this becomes even more important as the season progresses. Please continue sharing your feedback, as it helps us better align the Club experience with member expectations.
On the golf side, both the Men's Member Guest and the BJ Strothkamp Memorial were outstanding successes. These events showcased the traditions, camaraderie, and hospitality that make Crow Valley special. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered time and knowledge, or helped make those weekends memorable.
Looking ahead, our team is excited for one of the newest additions to our event calendar. The Membership Appreciation Weekend, featuring the Member-Member Tournament and party in the pool at the Hampton’s House Party. Our team is hard at work preparing a fantastic weekend of golf, camaraderie, and celebration, and we can't wait to welcome participants to another great Crow Valley tradition.
While the temporary driving range restrictions remain in place, our management team continues to work closely with the Board, our legal counsel, and engineering consultants toward restoring normal operations. At the same time, we are looking for ways to continue providing a great member experience by enhancing programming, supporting our golf professionals, and finding creative opportunities for members to enjoy the Club throughout the season We appreciate your patience and continued support, and we will keep the membership informed as meaningful progress is made.

Special shout-out to Doug Dahlin with the local Beekeepers Club of Iowa for collecting and saving the swarm of bees that were searching for a home near No. 1 tee box. We love bees but I think a farm outside town is better suited for this colony.

July is shaping up to be an exciting and action-packed month for Golf Operations at Crow Valley From junior golf and league play to major club events and the John Deere Classic right here in the Quad Cities, we are looking forward to a full month of golf, competition, celebration, and community.
We begin the month with continued momentum in our Summer Session 1 Junior Golf Program It has been wonderful to see our juniors learning, improving, and enjoying the game throughout the summer We are also excited to begin Junior Summer Session 2 on Wednesday, July 22, as we continue to grow the game and create a fun, engaging environment for the next generation of Crow Valley golfers.
Our junior golfers will represent Crow Valley in PGA Junior League matches throughout July, including a home match on July 14 and away matches at Glynns Creek and Oakwood later in the month. We look forward to cheering them on as they compete and grow through team golf.
July also brings the excitement of the John Deere Classic, July 2–5. We encourage everyone to enjoy the energy of having PGA TOUR golf right here in the Quad Cities.
The Ladies Golf Association has a busy July ahead, highlighted by the Waterman Cup on July 9, the Ladies Member Guest on July 15–16, and several fun weekly formats throughout the month, including Stableford, Trouble, Scramble with the Staff, and Pinehurst.
One of July’s highlights will be our inaugural Member-Member Weekend on July 11–12. We are excited to add this new event to the Crow Valley tournament calendar and look forward to a fun and competitive weekend for our membership.
We also recognize that the temporary driving range restrictions have affected many members' practice routines. Our golf staff is actively looking at additional instructional opportunities, and creative ways to help members continue developing their games while these temporary restrictions remain in place We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting everyone back to normal operations as soon as possible.
