Dear Members,
As we move through another memorable summer at Crow Valley, I find myself reflecting on what makes our club so special. While our beautiful golf course, pool, dining venues, and facilities certainly contribute to the experience, it is the connections between people that truly define our community.
July provided countless examples of this. From the comraderie during the Member-Member Championship and the laughter shared at Kids Camp which will be a highlight of my year as it was wonderful to see so many young members playing and making memories at the club. Our club summer is filled with the moments that transform a private club into a place of belonging.
These experiences align directly with the vision outlined in our Strategic Plan: to be the premier club in the region by delivering exceptional golf, dining, social experiences, and personal service while fostering a strong sense of community. Every event, every interaction, and every improvement we make is guided by that commitment.
As the summer season begins to wind down, I want to recognize the 103 seasonal employees who have supported our members across the grounds, pool, 19N, Halfway House, golf operation, beverage carts, and seasonal restaurant service Along with our leadership team, they have worked hard to create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment throughout the season Their energy, professionalism, and commitment have helped create many of the experiences and memories our members and families will carry with them long after summer ends. Their efforts are a reminder that exceptional member experiences begin with exceptional people.
As we look ahead, our team remains focused on the goals that will guide Crow Valley toward our Diamond Year in 2029: enhancing member experiences, investing in our club's future, strengthening our culture, and ensuring every member feels welcomed, informed, and connected. These goals are ambitious, but achievable thanks to the dedication of our staff, the engagement of our members, and the strength of our community.
Thank you for being an important part of Crow Valley. I look forward to seeing you around the club as we continue building memories together and shaping an even brighter future.
Marianne and Jim split their time between Scottsdale, Arizona, and the Quad Cities. They are members of Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale and spend their summers in the Midwest enjoying time with family and their grandchildren. Originally from Lake Forest, Illinois, both retired after successful careers in the pharmaceutical industry. While living in the Chicago area, they were members of Conway Farms Golf Club and the Union League Club of Chicago They enjoy golf, horseback riding, annual boating trips in the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia, and traveling to destinations around the world. They are delighted to join the Crow Valley community and look forward to making new friends.
Alex and Madeline are excited about joining Crow Valley With strong family and professional connections at Crow Valley, they are quickly becoming part of the Crow Valley community Alex has been a Dentist with Geneseo Family Dental and Madeline serves as an Assistant Professor with St. Ambrose University. Their adorable daughters are Sophia and Isabelle.

Dear Members,
August is shaping up to be another exciting and active month at Crow Valley Golf Club The schedule is filled with championships, LGA events, junior golf, interclub competitions, and special outings, providing plenty of opportunities to enjoy the Club and support your fellow members.
We begin the month with the Crow Valley Club Championship on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2
We look forward to a competitive and enjoyable weekend as our members compete for one of the Club’s most prestigious titles.
The following week begins with LGA Day on Tuesday, August 4, followed by the Waterman Cup at Pinnacle Country Club on Wednesday, August 5. That day will also feature the first of the final two sessions of our Summer Session 2 Junior Golf Program.
On Thursday, August 6, and Friday, August 7, Crow Valley will host The Waitlist Tournament, featuring two days of golf, competition, and camaraderie. Our junior golfers will then take center stage during the Junior Club Championship on Saturday, August 8.
The LGA calendar continues with the Solheim Cup Pairings Party on Wednesday, August 12, followed by the LGA Solheim Cup on Thursday, August 13 August 12 will also mark the final session of our Summer Session 2 Junior Golf Program.
The second half of the month remains busy. Crow Valley will welcome The Cities Wealth Management Outing on Monday, August 17. Our members will also represent the Club in the Bell Cup at Des Moines Golf & Country Club on Wednesday, August 19, and Thursday, August 20
Thursday, August 20, will feature several events, including the Past Presidents Outing and an LGA Stableford Day at Crow Valley. We will conclude the month’s scheduled golf events with LGA Two Jacks and a Jill on Thursday, August 27.
