PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE 2025 was a year of real progress for County Wexford Chamber, with a busy programme of events, advocacy, training and initiatives supporting businesses across the county. Highlights included another successful series of events, with our President's Lunch a particular highlight and an important fundraiser for the Chamber. My sincere thanks to everyone who attended and supported the event. Advocacy remained a major priority. Throughout the year, we engaged directly with An Taoiseach, Government Ministers and elected representatives.
Looking ahead, I genuinely believe Wexford is standing at a moment of enormous opportunity. With Rosslare Europort, the development of SETU Wexford and major organisations including the EPA, MARA and Teagasc based here, we have the potential to become a centre of excellence in areas such as renewable energy, MedTech, food and agri-tech, technology and logistics. If we want to realise that potential, we must work together and be more demanding – of ourselves as business leaders, of Government and its agencies, of our education and training institutions, and of local government. That is why the Chamber matters. When we speak collectively, our voice is stronger. By bringing businesses together and combining our expertise, networks and insights, we can influence decisions and deliver meaningful outcomes for County Wexford. Thank you to our members, partners and wider business community for supporting the Chamber throughout 2025. We have made great progress, but there is much more to do – so let's keep pushing forward.

CEO’S MESSAGE If 2024 was about building the foundations of a stronger, county-wide Chamber, 2025 was about putting those foundations to work. Throughout the year, we focused on delivering greater value for our members, strengthening the voice of County Wexford business and creating more opportunities for businesses to connect, learn and grow. Our events brought thousands of people together across the county, from the County Wexford Business Awards and Leadership Summit to networking events, district meetings and engagement with political and business leaders. County Wexford Chamber Skillnet continued to invest in developing our workforce, while our Shop Local Gift Card gained significant momentum, helping to keep more spending within our local economy.
Advocacy remained central to our work. In 2025, we launched our first-ever PreBudget Submission, setting out County Wexford’s priorities directly to Government, while continuing to champion investment in SETU Wexford, Rosslare Europort, transport infrastructure, housing and healthcare. Through ongoing engagement with local and national decision-makers, we worked to ensure the voice of County Wexford business was heard where it matters. We also continued to strengthen the Chamber itself. Growth in membership and our Corporate Partner network has created greater financial resilience and given us the capacity to be even more ambitious for our members and our county. My sincere thanks to our members, partners and sponsors; our Board and committees; and, of course, our fantastic team who make it all happen. We finish 2025 a stronger and more influential Chamber, with an ambitious business community behind us and plenty more we want to achieve ,

NEWS & EVENTS 2025 JANUARY / FEBRUARY The B2B Member Spotlight Series in 2025 kicked off in Enniscorthy with Niamh Hogan, Founder & CEO, Holos Skincare, and Nicholas Dunne, Owner, Killowen Farm sharing insights.
County Wexford Chamber launched the 2025 Business Awards at Gardiner Grain, who were the overall winners of the 2024 Awards. A full house heard the county’s TDs, Senator, and Ireland South MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú share their ideas on how best to shape the future of Wexford at our Political Leaders Summit. A lively debate was facilitated by Ivan Yates, and covered a range of critical topics. County Wexford Chamber honoured Jimmy Gahan for the many years of dedicated service he had provided to Enniscorthy. Jimmy joined the former Enniscorthy Chamber in 2018 as a Development Officer and helped to guide the Enniscorthy District through its integration with County Wexford Chamber.

MARCH / APRIL The Jobs Fest connected hundreds of job seekers and over 300 students with local employers and education providers.
We celebrated International Women's Day with LEO Wexford, championing inclusion and empowerment. Skillnet collaborated with CILT to highlight the importance of skills, innovation, and adaptability in the logistics and supply chain sector.
The Business After Hours in the Brandon House Hotel celebrated the opening of its refurbished Library Bar.
The B2B Roundtable networking in Gorey showcased membership insights from experts in their fields.
The Scaling for Success event in Kilkenny, organised by the South East Skillnets, offered a wealth of insights for businesses looking to grow and thrive.

MAY / JUNE The Deputy French Ambassador, Armel T'Kint De Roodenbeke visited Wexford town and met members of the business community.
Third-level students and emerging entrepreneurs from South Africa were connected with local businesses, from sole traders to SMEs and a commercial fruit farm.
Nearly 450 guests attended the County Wexford Business Awards gala ceremony, with Colm O’Regan as MC. MGM Partnership was named County Wexford Overall Business of the Year, in a night celebrating excellence in entrepreneurship.
County Wexford Chamber and PwC partnered on an event to provide guidance on cyber security.

Links with South Africa were built during a visit by repressentatives from the South African Chamber and Embassy of South Africa.

JULY / AUGUST We attended the launch of Fáilte Ireland and Ireland’s Ancient East’s Destination and Experience Development Plan for Wexford.
We raised challenges in attracting FDI, and how we can work to unlock future growth with the IDA.
The B2B Roundtable networking event in the Ravenport Resort showcased local expertise.
Our Summer BBQ was an chance for members to catch up with each other - there may have been rain!
We focused on Global Horizons at the Kennedy Summer School.
We hosted the European Parliament Transport & Tourism Committee’s visit, showcasing the region’s infrastructure achievements, business leadership, and future in ORE.
Our Pre-Budget 2026 submission was presented to Minister Peter Burke TD.

SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER Pre-Budget priorities were presented to elected representatives at the Chamber Ireland Lobbying Day.
Renewable energy was the focus of the Sustainability Cluster in GreenTech HQ. We hosted meeting of businesses with Minister Peter Burke TD and Brian Brennan TD.
We were delighted to support the GreenTech HQ Food Studio Launch.
Budget Briefings for Budget 2026 were held in the county’s four main towns.
We were delighted to attend the relaunch of Alliance Française Waterford–Wexford.
PTSB won the Golf Classic.

NOVEMBER / DECEMBER We facilitated a meeting between the Ambassador of Canada to Ireland, Dennis King, and business and community leaders.
CEO Paula Roche represented County Wexford Chamber at the 7th edition of European Parliament of Enterprises in Brussels.
County Wexford Chamber joined fellow representatives for the firstever Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP).
The County Wexford Chamber Leadership Summit was a great success, bringing together business leaders and innovators from across the region. The event featured a keynote by Microsoft GM, Catherine Doyle.
County Wexford Chamber was delighted to bring a delegation of members to Leinster House, for a visit hosted by Ceann Comhairle, Verona Murphy TD.
We launched the Chamber’s innovative three-year Strategy Plan 2026-2028.

SKILLNET TRAINING 2025 was a positive year for County Wexford Chamber Skillnet, as we continued to support workforce development, business competitiveness and regional growth across County Wexford. During the year, we secured €199,999 grant income through the Training Networks Programme (TNP) Core Fund, and €90,000 grant income through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+). Together with €225,000 in cash match funding contributed by participating businesses, this brought the total investment in workforce development to €514,999. The contribution of €225,000 from participating businesses demonstrated strong employer engagement and confidence in the quality and relevance of the training delivered through County Wexford Chamber Skillnet. The total investment enabled us to deliver more than 70 certified and noncertified training programmes, supporting 217 companies, and approx. 690 trainees across a broad range of sectors and business types. Course Priorities and Highlights The mix of programmes delivered in 2025 was shaped first and foremost by what employers told us they needed. Industry and regional priorities, together with leadership and management development, accounted for 83% of programme activity. A further 10% focused on digital skills, with targeted activity also delivered in green and sustainability skills and workforce innovation. FINANCIAL OVERVIEW County Wexford Chamber of Industry & Commerce (a Company Limited by Guarantee and not having Share Capital) recorded total income of €1,002,759 for the financial year ended 31 December 2025. As the promoting body of County Wexford Chamber Skillnet, the Chamber’s financial statements now incorporate the Skillnet programme. Of the total income reported, €664,591 relates to Chamber activities, with the balance relating to Skillnet, comprising government funding and fees from participating businesses. Total expenditure for the year was €1,006,302, of which €651,584 relates to Chamber activities. Excluding the Skillnet programme, County Wexford Chamber is pleased to report a surplus of €19,453 for 2025, reflecting the continued strengthening of the Chamber’s underlying financial position.
