It’s showtime!
It dawned on me just recently that I have just six months left until I transform from editor into bridesmaid extraordinaire! Is anyone else freaked out by how quickly time passes en route to W-day? Despite spending my days telling all of you lovely people how to plan, I have very much not practised what I’ve preached and am now panicking about getting into shape. So, it’s a good job indeed that I’m not the bride, who fortunately is literally the most organised person I’ve ever met. That being said, the bride tribe (plus groom) recently decided to hit a wedding show at the venue-to-be hosted by our sister company County Wedding Events, looking for finishing touches and bridesmaid dresses. While I’ve attended many a wedding fair in my time with my professional hat on, nothing beats the excitement of experiencing one from the other side of the fence. So, to help you get the most out of your next visit to a wedding fair, I’ve compiled my top five tips. 1. Pre-register. Make sure you sign up on the organisers website. CWE is offering timed entry slots at the moment to keep you all safe and allow you to enjoy your browsing comfortably. 2.Be prepared. Find out who’s exhibiting beforehand and make up a hit list of the suppliers you want to check out. You can usually find this info on the event’s website, but if not there’ll likely be show guide available, so grab one when you arrive and settle down with a cuppa or glass of bubbly before you venture any further. 3.Fashion shows. These are not to be missed in our book. Seeing the latest designs on an actual human, as opposed to on the hanger, can give you a whole new perspective along with tons of ideas. 4.Show and tell. If you’re already at the point where you know your theme, colour palette and venue, it’s a good idea to take your mood board along with you. If you find a supplier you’re keen to work with, it’ll really help them to get a peek at this to get their creative juices flowing. 5.Snap happy. Make sure your smart phone is fully charged and be ready to get as many pics as you can of the things you love. Big events can be a little daunting and the last thing you want is to get home and forget where you saw that incredible cake.
And now, without further ado, I bring you the latest issue of Your Kent Wedding. Check out these pages for my issue highlights to ensure you don’t miss a thing – we have a world of wedspiration waiting for you as always. Enjoy and keeeep planning! Kelly x

Bride Hannah is a huge fan of Tudor history, so tying the knot at the fascinating Penshurst Place, Henry VIII’s former hunting lodge, was a dream come true.

We gathered together Kent’s bridal boutiques, make-up artists and jewellery specialists to tell us what’s hot for 2022, ensuring you’re ready to feel your bigday best. I’m in love with Luna by Abella Bridal – Victoria Elaine Bridal’s dress pick for the new year. What I love most about wedding photos is the sheer joy that radiates from them, and this shot of Daisy and Keith is a prime example. 41

I’m loving real bride Emma’s bridal jacket, which she slipped into for her drinks reception. Perfect to keep out the chill at this time of year and super-cool to boot!
I caught up with wellness expert Simone Thomas, who had plenty of wisdom to share when it comes to feeling tip top for your big day.

Shoot coordinator Annie Robinson told us that the decision to feature two brides was based on fashion. “I already had a dress lined up and had my heart set on it, so when a designer approached me to use their new bridal pant suit, I thought: ‘why not go for two brides?’ The outfit is different and striking with a veil that attaches at the waist,” she explains.
