elcome to the 2019 Fall Sports Schedules Guide for Taft 7-12. Inside are schedules for the fall season sports including football, volleyball, soccer and cross country. These schedules for the Taft 7-12 sports were compiled from the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) website and Athletic.net website, current as of Aug. 22. Schedules are subject to change and games may be postponed or rescheduled as the season progresses. The

News Guard will be reporting any scheduling changes that may occur and be sure to check with the Taft 7-12 offices if you have further questions regarding the schedules. With the numerous teams at Taft 7-12 and the constant traveling they do throughout the state, unfortunately The News Guard cannot be at every game for coverage. However, we do appreciate your help. If you have photos, scores, statistics or know of a student athlete who is overcoming an obstacle or achieving, be it on the field or in the classroom, please send the information to us. My email is newsguardeditor@countrymedia. net. Please include names and uniform numbers (as appropriate), so we can identify the player, the position and any other information such as date or location of the event, the schools participating, etc., as well as your name, phone number and email so we may contact you if we need more information. Our deadline for publication is by the end of the day on Monday. That being said, The News Guard will be revamping our sports coverage for the upcoming 2019-20 school year that will include weekly
game recaps, previews and various features on athletes or teams as the year progresses. As a former five sport athlete myself at Nestucca High School in Cloverdale and Pacific University in Forest Grove, I have a true passion for all sports and activities. I have made it my goal to provide Taft 7-12 with the best coverage possible to keep families and fans informed on how the Tigers are faring. Additionally, keep an eye out for a featured sports column throughout the season, as I get more familiar with the various teams. If you plan on attending any home games this season, you’ll likely see me with camera or notebook in hand, taking in the action. Don’t be afraid to say hello or chat a little about sports.
