SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY Spearheaded by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday has rapidly entrenched itself into the holiday shopping tradition landscape. The nationally recognized movement to celebrate and shop small businesses was created as a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday and has quickly gained progressive traction. Last year, more than 100 million shoppers supported the initiative, which features discounts, giveaways and promotions from some participating establishments. This year’s event is slated for Saturday, Nov. 30.
