ADULT FITNESS Cathy Neuschafer: Fit from head to toe Cathy Neuschafer is a certified personal trainer who is also a Healthy Foot Practitioner and a specialist in Whole Body Alignment. Cathy begin her own journey to fitness when, five years ago, she found herself 60 pounds overweight, tired, depressed, and “just feeling lousy.” She began a regimen to build muscle and get moving, and the more Cathy learned the more enthusiastic she became about health and fitness. This led to certifications from American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the Restorative Exercise Institute with the purpose of helping others feel good, too. “I know so many people who have limited abilities or pain because of lack of movement,” Neuschafer says. “The body is a machine, and you can’t enjoy optimal health without performing basic maintenance on your body. Movement is critical to the health of your human machine.” Cathy offers the following classes and workshops to help you get fit from head to toe:
Balance and Core Strength
The goal of this class is to develop a supple and stable core area, release and lengthen the psoas muscles and use specific exercises to increase balance, innervate the musculature of the entire torso, and increase range of motion, functionality and blood flow. Cathy provides a supportive, fun environment with “absolutely no crunches, weights or sit-ups!” Drop-ins are welcome.
