perfect mixture of English invasion rock, blues, country, and gospel. Molly Hatchet firmly cemented their place in music history in the late seventies. They stood alongside other iconic Southern rock bands out of Jacksonville, Florida, such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers. They were the hardest hitting of the Southern rock bands at the time when, in 1978, Epic Records released Molly Hatchet’s self-titled debut album. It reached multiplatinum status, and the band established their reputation of working hard, playing tough and
living fast through intense touring. During this time, they were on the road with Aerosmith, Bob Seger, The Rolling Stones, and many others. In 1979, Molly Hatchet’s second album Flirtin’ with Disaster was released, and it also quickly achieved multiplatinum status. It skyrocketed the band into the stratosphere and performing an average of two hundred and fifty shows per year kept them busy. Molly Hatchet next released Beatin’ the Odds (1980), followed by Take No Prisoners (1981), No Guts… No Glory (1983) The Deed Is Done (1984) and Double Trouble Live (1985).
Molly Hatchet continues their worldwide tour, performing classic hits such as “Flirtin’ with Disaster,” “Devil’s Canyon,” “Gator Country,” “Whiskey Man,” and “Dreams I’ll Never See.” The band’s current lineup consists of longtime members Bobby Ingram on lead guitar and John Galvin on keyboards, as well as Tim Lindsey on bass guitar and Shawn Beamer on drums, with Jimmy Elkins on vocals. he annual Pig-NFord races are world famous and have been a part of the Tillamook County Fair for the past 97 years. This event always fills the Averill Arena/ Grandstands to capacity! There are two races Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, starting at 5:30 pm each day. Winners of each race will compete in the Championship Finals Saturday, immediately following the two qualifying races. Be sure to

The 2021 Tillamook County Fair is thrilled to offer 33 races in 4 days of live horse racing action, with eight races on Wednesday (8/11), Thursday (8/12), and Friday (8/13), and nine races on Saturday (8/14). Brad’s WORLD REPTILES will be returning to exhibit zooquality displays of up to 40 varieties of animals in the building across from the Pioneer Building in the courtyard. Fairgoers will have the opportunity to learn about, view and even touch some of the most beautiful and unusual animals on our planet. Stop by Brad’s WORLD REPTILES exhibit and see such show stoppers as a four foot American Alligator, a giant Burmese Python, beautiful parrots, huge live insects and many other fascinating creepy crawlies and animal artifacts! Animals will be available for touching or handling. Wildlife interpreters will be there to answer questions, provide information, or give presentations. There will also be demonstrations on the Courtyard Stage twice a day to allow a more hands on experience. Brad’s WORLD REPTILES will train a few volunteer handlers from the community to help educate the rest of the public.
