Due to the current restrictions all events Will be postponed until we are able to hold them.
Once we can hold events again we will have our AGM and prizegiving.
The date will be announced on our web site, facebook page and as an announcement on the Sporty app.
Counties Sport Fishing Club We are a family friendly West coast club based in Waiuku, just south of Auckland. With around 1000 members, trailer boats make up the majority of our fleet. Celebrating fishing of all kinds, from the humble Gurnard to the mighty Broadbill. Club waters span from Raglan north head to Kaipara south head and include the Manukau harbour and Waikato river.

Every Kiwi needs to see this.. An amazing eye opener. A very well researched and presented doco! thanks to all for making it.....it is well beyond time that the QMS was taken out the back and shot and from those ashes build an actual "world leading" example of fisheries management. The formula for a better future is already available...check out... RESCUE FISH Great doco guys. I encourage everyone to watch fully. Excellent eye opening doco. Im fully in support of an overhaul of the quota management system, as a kiwi im not sure where to go from here. Im sure 95% of kiwis are also in support... what do we need to do to help?

AUT Pacific Oyster Survey AUT PACIFIC OYSTER SURVEY - Manukau Harbour - less than 5 mins to fill out! Over the last 30 years much of the coast of the Manukau was infested with the invasive Pacific oyster (Crassostrea gigas), which was introduced from Asia and became established in the early 1970s. In New Zealand the Pacific oyster has been considered by biosecurity, primary industry, and conservation departments and ministries to be an invasive species. It is a fast growing pest that has quickly replaced the native New Zealand rock oyster. It has no place in the wild, especially on our beaches and intertidal rock platforms, where it forms dense clumps that accumulate mud, changing the character of the rock platforms and beaches. This marine pest has large, rounded, radial folds which are often extremely rough and sharp, especially when they break up on our beaches, making once very popular swimming beaches unsuitable for swimming due to the risk of cutting feet on the razor sharp oyster shells. They also pose a danger to those engaging in water recreational activities, to boats; making channels unusable, and even to our dogs paws! TOES and MHRS have worked with AUT over a number of years in developing a portable oyster crushing machine to grind the oyster shells into a fine sand ensuring that swimmers and other users, including our pets are not cut by these sharp shells. Similar land based machines have been developed for the Nelson scallop industry where the oyster shells are ground into a fine sand for use in the horticultural industry. Such a pilot program could be developed into a much larger program for use on the Manukau Harbour to turn the troublesome oyster shells into a fine sand to be used as a sand substitute to refurbish beaches around the Manukau Harbour. Membership Renewal If you have not renewed your membership yet then it is time to do it. The club is now using Sporty to run our membership and your renewal will be done using this instead of the old system. Hopefully you will find this a more user friendly experience than it was previously. There are two ways of registering your membership, either by using the app or by going to our web site www.csfc.co.nz and clicking on the “Membership Registration� button. You will also need a photo of yourself to upload when filling out the membership registration, this photo will appear on your membership card. You will need the Sporty app on your phone or tablet to use our new digital membership card.
Downloading and setting up the Sporty App Go to the App Store or Google Play and download the Sporty NZ app onto your device. When you start the app find Counties Sport Fishing Club, you only need to do this once and next time you use the app it will be automatically set. If you already use the Sporty app for other clubs you can just add Counties Sport Fishing Club as another organisation.
Once you are set up you should see the screen to the left on your device. Clicking on web site obviously takes you to our web site. The alerts button lets you read any alerts that have been sent out by the club, these might be announcements about competitions or other club news. Contact gives contact information for the club. Register is where you will find club registration. At the moment you can register your membership and fill out your boat check form, this is also where you will be able to register for competitions and buy your tickets. The PhotoCard button will display your digital membership card on your device.
Membership Cards We are now using digital membership cards instead of physical cards. This means you will never be waiting for your membership card, as soon as you have joined your card will be available on the app. It saves the cost of producing and posting membership cards and also reduces plastic waste. Physical membership cards are available for purchase if anyone needs one, just select that option on the membership registration form when you fill the form in.

LENGTH RECORDS we need a clear photo of the fish on the approved measure, which are available for $25. The photo must be of the whole fish lying on its side with the mouth touching the head of the measure. We will need details of where it was caught and the name of the angler.
