Counties Sport Fishing Club We are a family friendly West coast club based in Waiuku, just south of Auckland. With around 1000 members, trailer boats make up the majority of our fleet. Celebrating fishing of all kinds, from the humble Gurnard to the mighty Broadbill. Club waters span from Raglan north head to Kaipara south head and include the Manukau harbour and Waikato river.

The onsite technicians are experts in Mercury, Etech, Evinrude & Johnson servicing and repairs as well as Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda. They can also fit new or used outboard engines and do trailer repairs, springs, winches and rollers.

Marlin Money Competition This popular competition will be happening soon, dates will obviously be dependant on the weather so keep an eye out on our Facebook page for an announcement of when it will be and how to enter. Just two prizes, heaviest fish weighed and most fish tagged. The prize pool will be split between these two categories.
Youth Nationals and Trophy Design NZSFC have introduced a Junior Nationals this year. They will be held on the 16th - 30th of April, see the advert on page 7. A competition is also being held to create the designs for the Youth Nationals trophies. Be as creative and imaginative as you can. Categories for trophies are � Champion Angler � Top Club � Best Marine Photo � Funniest Photo. Email designs to NZSFC before 10 February 2022. At secretary@nzsportfishing.org.nz

Tag and Release shirts from last season will be handed out at this meeting as we were not able to hold a prizegiving last year.
Game tags will also be available on the night.
Pleae Note : You will need to follow the cossie club rules to attend, which means showing a vaccine pass to enter and wearing a mask.

Prizegiving 2021 Unfortunately our 2021 prizegiving was another covid casualty, having to be cancelled due to the restrictions that were in place at the time. We had hoped to be able to give out the trophies somehow, but that has proved impossible to organise. Now we are into a new game season with fish to weigh, preparations for the nationals in full swing, crucial people on holiday and various other things happening there has just been no way that this could happen. The tag and release shirts from the 2021 season will be handed out at this years national briefing, details on page 10 of this newsletter. We would like to acknowledge all the people who would have either won, or been runners up, in the 2021 prizegiving. Here is a list of those people. Congratulations to every one of you.

LENGTH RECORDS we need a clear photo of the fish on the approved measure, which are available for $25. The photo must be of the whole fish lying on its side with the mouth touching the head of the measure. We will need details of where it was caught and the name of the angler.
