Phew! I think it’s safe to say that the summer sunshine has finally arrived – yesterday I was hopping around on the terrace not able to stand on any of the scorching tiles, I have no idea what my neighbours thought! Already I’ve been hearing “ooh it’s just too hot” etc... Come on everyone! Isn’t this why we moved to Spain?? If it all gets too much why not go for a quick paddle at the nearest beach. We can expect to see Chris Evans’ face all over our screens in the coming months it seems, as it was also announced that he will host the new series of TFI Friday, set to return this November. That’s in addition to his recently announced appointment as Top Gear post, taking over from Jeremy Clarkson. SHEESH. The new eightepisode series of TFIF has been confirmed following the success of the one-off special that aired last month, which drew in a whopping four million viewers. Confirming the news to The Sun, Chris said: “I might actually spontaneously explode on live TV due to excitedness.” KYLIE AND CHRIS AN ITEM..? Kylie Minogue and Chris Martin, eh? Those are two stars that we’ve never put together, but now we think about it, they’d look great as a couple, wouldn’t they? Chris and Kylie were spotted arm-in-arm walking through London’s Hyde Park after Kylie stormed the stage at the British Summer last month. The pair have worked on music together in the past, so maybe they were talking all things business. Or maybe they were mixing business and pleasure, eh? More and More Are Choosing Glass Curtains to Beat the “Windy Coast” Blues. It is not generally well-known but the Costa del Sol was historically known as the Costa del Viento, the windy coast, and the “brand” of the Costa del Sol was specifically created to market this area of the Mediterranean coastline to foreign holiday-makers. The main reason for people to visit the Costa del Sol is for the year-round sunshine which it is famous for, enabling visitors and inhabitants alike to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of sun-filled days coupled with a more alfresco way of living. More time is spent outdoors, meaning life is more active, sportier and more sociable. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be taken outdoors on sheltered terraces… even in winter. But the Costa del Sol’s climate isn’t as good as many visitors think. When the winter weather is warm and dry, then great, but it can be cool and wet for weeks. Unfortunately Spanish property is not designed for cold weather. The design is great for the summer, keeping out the heat very efficiently… but in the winter they can be cold and that terrace, so lovely in the summer for alfresco dining, becomes redundant in the colder winter months. If you're planning on travelling to Dubai over the summer then you will have to be careful what you say on WhatsApp, as the messaging service are introducing heavy fines for inappropriate use of language. Those who are found to be swearing in messages could face a fine up to ÂŁ45,000. This has come after a man who swore at a colleague using the app was originally ordered to pay ÂŁ523. However, the prosecution appealed the decision, claiming that the 'crime' deserved a more severe punishment. The Cyber Crimes Law in United Arab Emirates makes verbal insults made online a criminal offence. However, the man was cleared of additional charges that accused him of threatening the recipient of his messages. There is an upcoming emoji of the middle finger, which will also be outlawed in the country and anyone using it could face up to three years behind bars or a hefty fine of ÂŁ87,000. Later, after examining his elderly wife, the doctor said: "Everything appears To be fine. Do you have any medical concerns that you would like to discuss with me?" She replied that she had no questions or concerns.
The doctor then said to her: "Your husband had an unusual concern. He claims that he is usually cold and chilly after having sex with you the first time, and then hot and sweaty after the second time. Do you know why?"

Using shop-bought puff pastry makes this dazzling summer tart topped with stone fruit, almond paste and dollops of meringue super quick to prepare - A great way to use fruit that is going slightly over it’s best...
IngrEDIEnTs
• 30-33cm puff pastry round sheet, or roll your own from a 375g block • 100g crème fraîche, plus extra to serve (optional) • 1 large egg, plus 2 egg whites • 100g ground almonds • 1 tsp vanilla extract
METHOD
1) Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Lay the pastry on a large baking sheet and mark a border 2cm from the edge with a knife. Bake for 10-12 mins until puffed up, golden and crisp underneath. Mix the crème fraîche, whole egg, ground almonds, vanilla extract and 40g of the sugar together. 2) Push the centre of the pastry down and spread this with the almond and crème fraîche mixture, then top with the fruit. Warm the jam in the microwave, then sieve and brush all over the fruit.
• 140g caster sugar • 3-5 stone fruits (a mixture of peaches, nectarines and apricots), sliced • 2 tbsp peach, apricot or nectarine jam • ½ tsp almond extract (optional) • 1 tsp cornflour • 25g toasted flaked almonds Bake in the oven for 10 mins. 3) Meanwhile, whisk the egg whites until stiff in a big mixing bowl. Add the remaining 100g sugar, the almond extract, if using, and cornflour, and whisk again to a thick, smooth glossy meringue. After 10 mins, remove the tart from the oven and turn down to 160C/140C fan/gas 3. Dollop the meringue in spoonfuls over the tart, then scatter over the almonds. Bake for another 10-12 mins until the meringue feels crisp to touch. Eat at room temperature with more crème fraîche.

Ron is nearing 80 and now lives in a Retirement Village. Every evening after his dinner he goes to a secluded garden behind his unit to sit and ponder his accomplishments and long life.
