What is PEERS ?
PEERS is a 14-week, evidence-based social skills curriculum and program for autistic, motivated young adults who want to further develop their social skills and learn to maintain both friendships and romantic relationships
Participants will:
Learn appropriate conversational skills
Learn how to be a good host
Find common interests between potential friends
Learn how to appropriately call and text
Learn how to express interest in dating
Understand appropriate sense of humor
Teen Groups at Marin
Ages: 13 - 16+
Who: Diagnosis of ASD or other neurodevelopmental difference
Dates: Wednesdays, September 24th - December 17th (Thanksgiving week off)
Time: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Develop conflictresolution skills
Learn to ask someone on a date and navigate a successful date
Learn how to choose appropriate friends
Learn how to navigate socialization in a group
