We had a fun Wednesday evening decked out in RED, WHITE and BLUE. First place-winners were Shawn Pettus and Lynae Canales with Shawn’s 85-yard shot for an “American Eagle” on hole five. There were festive fireworks between second and third place, as two teams were tied at the finish. The tie breaker determined Stephanie Hamilton and Melanie Douglas came in second place, with Paige Sciantarelli and Sarah Smith in third place.

The holiday season is gearing up so what better recipe to tackle than the world’s best mashed potatoes.
4 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, skin on 1½ pounds unsalted butter, cut into ½-inch cubes & kept cold ½ cup of heavy cream, hot Kosher Salt
Scrubpotatoesclean.Addtoa stockpot.Coverwithcoldwater. Seasonwaterwithsalt...as saltyasthesea Bringtoaboil andimmediatelylower temperaturetoamedium simmer.Cookfor20-25 minutes,untilaknifeeasily piercespotatoes.
Drain and peel potatoes. Dry out stockpot & set it over low heat. With a food mill or ricer, process potatoes into stockpot Or mash them through a colander with a spoon Stir potatoes for a few minutes to remove moisture. When steam dissipates, add in cold butter, a little bit at a time. Allow each addition to be fully incorporated. Stream in hot heavy cream and stir.
Season with salt to taste. To achieve velvety texture, pass potatoes through a fine mesh strainer or chinois
