Letter fr Manager

Members,

We have a busy schedule at the club this week, with both the Queen’s Luncheon and the King’s Ball taking place (the clubhouse is closed Friday at 4:00). As the parking lot will be at capacity, a cart will be available to shuttle any golfers who need assistance The Burke Cup is next week! We will send the club newsletter on Thursday, so everyone receives the weekend information in a timely manner. Additionally, we have a tennis tournament scheduled for next Friday. Please be aware that on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, we will be spraying for mosquitoes on the golf course. Also, look for information regarding the pool opening, which will be shared over the next two weeks.

Have a great weekend!

Agua de Jamaica: Hibiscus Tea

Cooking with Chef Ramos

Ingredients

3 cups boiling water

2 ounces dried hibiscus flowers

6 cups room temperature water

3/4 cup sugar

Directions

Yields around 64 ounce

EXECUTIVE CHEF/ HAROLD RAMOS

One of the most popular agua frescas in all of Mexico is made from dried Hibiscus flowers. It has a tart cranberry like flavor with a bit of the astringency you associate with tea. Dried hibiscus flowers can be found at your local Latin American grocer Or you can purchase them online. It’s a colorful and refreshing beverage that is perfect for a Spring time gathering.

Pour 3 cups of boiling water over the hibiscus flowers. Let the flowers soak in the water for about 20 minutes Pour through a strainer into a large pitcher Discard the flowers Add the sugar and stir for 1 to 2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Pour in remaining 6 cups of water and taste for sweetness. Add more sugar or water if necessary. Serve with fresh lime wedges for garnish. You can also substitute honey, agave nectar or piloncillo for the sugar in the recipe

Our facility is a Licensed Operation 36® Network Facility. We leverage the Op 36 On-Course Development Model (see below) and technology to make it fun for our golfers to improve their skills. To do this we use the Op 36 App. You will be invited to make your golfer an account in our community. Throughout the week, we will not only send communication through the app, but we also log all on-course scores of the golfers to track overtime. Any coaching program you join at our facility, we are able to track progress and give you a fun tool to guide your golf development outside of our classes.
