David Hamilton, Domingo Zamarripa and Angel Lozano teamed up to win the MGA Tres Amigos tournament.
They edged David Krams, Ed Bomba and Ken Sota on a scorecard playoff based on back-nine scores.
“I was originally on a team and had to drop out for scheduling issues. But 9 o’clock that morning Domingo calls, put a team together and we had fun,” Hamilton said.
Zamarripa chipped in birdie on the first hole, the Lozano drained a 40foot putt on the same hole to give the group momentum, Hamilton said.
“My game is tee-box shots and the short game for those guys was pretty phenomenal … lots of one putts,” he said, adding the trio ham and egged it a lot.

In his role as assistant superintendent we were able to keep everything running smoothly between Seth’s departure and my arrival,” said Matthew Anderson. “Francisco is always willing to go the extra mile without complaint to make CCCC the absolute best it can be. He’s made my transition into the golf course superintendent a pleasure. I want to thank him for his knowledge, work ethic and his positive attitude.”

Cooking With Chef Ramos

1/4 cup dry white wine
2 tbsp. white wine vinegar, plus more if needed
One medium shallot, finely minced
1-1/2 sticks cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pats
Kosher or sea salt
Freshly ground black or white pepper
In a small saucepan heat wine, vinegar and shallot over medium heat until simmering. Cook at a simmer, swirling and stirring occasionally, until liquid is almost fully evaporated and only 1 or 2 tablespoons remain.
Working with a few pats of butter at a time, whisk butter into reduced wine base, whisking constantly, until just melted and a milky emulsion forms. Immediately add 2 or 3 more pats of butter and continue to whisk until just melted. Repeat this process until all the remaining butter has been melted into the sauce and a stable emulsion has formed. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately or hold in a warm water bath for later use the same day.

Two-Person Best Ball plus pick your two Masters Professional Players. Teams must select & email Brent (golfpro@cccountryclub.com)2 players in the Masters Golf Tournament prior to midnight Wednesday, April 8. MGA players will have two-man teams play their own ball recording all scores as gross. The best score gross or net will count per hole. The two Friday only scores from the Masters picks plus the MGA Team score will give a 54-hole total. Winners will be determined by gross and net with gross taking precedent. Flighting will be determined by the number of teams. Scores will be eligible for handicapping. For net, players will receive 100% of their handicap from their respective tee.
