CORNER LODGE NEWS MEMORY LANE CARE HOMES You may have heard that Memory Lane (Essex) Ltd completed the purchase of Corner Lodge Care home from Sanjay and Rahul Jagota on 16 April 2026. We are now part of the Memory Lane Care Homes group, a small family run business that owns and operates 8 care homes in the UK. Among those is Read House, in Frinton.

From our early observations, Corner Lodge, seems to be a warm, happy and friendly home where the residents are well looked after by the Care team. We have spoken to a number of the staff, and they seem to be doing a great job and are looking forward to continuing doing that under our ownership. We are planning to invest significantly in the home, particularly in improving the décor and overall environment. We are confident that you will begin to see and appreciate these improvements as they take shape. At present we are not considering making any major changes in the way the Care Home is run. As time goes on, we will work with the management team, who have been very welcoming, to identify the areas where improvements can be made.
