A Message from the General Manager I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer. It was a busy season here at The Club, and we’re thrilled to unveil the newly-remodeled Big Red Tap & Grill! As I’ve mentioned before, this project was a true team effort. I want to extend my sincere thanks to our dedicated staff for their time, energy, and enthusiasm behind the scenes. The Tap reopened on September 2nd to rave reviews and I hope you’ll join us back in the Tap on an upcoming visit to The Club. The Fall Quarterly offers a look at what’s coming up at The Club and there is certainly something for everyone. Our welcoming staff is happy to assist with upcoming reservations for guest rooms, our private event spaces, and programs and dining. Of note, you’ll find the date we’ll raise our glass to toast the close of a celebratory 35th year here on “Club Row”. We hope you’ll join us. Enjoy this issue of The Club Quarterly!
Auditor’s Report This summer, The Club completed the annual external audit, performed by Condon O’Meara, McGinty & Donnelly LLP. Highlights of particular note presented to The Club’s Board of Directors include: • The Audit findings were that of no material weaknesses or deficiencies and strong management control over expenses. • Membership dues are ranked the lowest in comparison to other New York City Clubs. • The Club’s room occupancy is strong in comparison to peer clubs. • While maintaining strict control of expenses, The Club is still able to provide amenities including complimentary breakfast for our inhouse guests and a complimentary Health & Fitness Center membership.
