Interested in fashion, hair styles and makeup trends? Join us as we explore iconic styles from different decades. Each day, we’ll learn the history behind the trends and recreate the looks with guidance from CJA students.

learn the basics of 3D design and use the Engineering Design Cycle to turn their concepts into 3D models. With the help of a 3D printer, campers will create their own items to take home!

Board & Strategy Games

Think. Play. Strategize. Get ready to roll the dice, plan your next move and challenge your mind this summer! Each day, campers will dive into classic and modern games that build critical thinking, teamwork and problem-solving, all while having fun! Campers will develop logic, patience, creativity and sportsmanship, discovering that the best victories come from learning and laughing together!

Making a difference together, one act of kindness at a time! This summer, join us for a week of heart, hands and helping others. Campers will explore the joy of giving back through fun, hands-on service projects that make a real impact in our community. Each day, we’ll learn about a local organization - who they help, what they do and how we can support their mission - then roll up our sleeves for a meaningful volunteer project.

Choir Camp

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8

Come have a great musical experience and bond with current CJA choir members! Students will spend the week honing their musical talents and working on a final performance for the last day of camp.

Cooking (with Flynn’s Foods!)

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8

June 1-5 OR June 8-12 8-10 a.m.

Hang out with CJ’s very own Chef Zach and Flynn’s Foods! Learn simple recipes, kitchen safety and basic knife skills while preparing a meal or snack each day to enjoy or take home. Students will use a chef’s knife, sauté in hot pans, bake, and wash their own dishes—all while gaining confidence and independence in the kitchen. Students should wear well-fitting, comfortable, closed toe shoes.

Colorful Creations

Explore your creative side during a week of arts-and-crafts fun. Campers will use an array of crafting techniques to create unique pieces they’ll be able to take home.

Creative Writing

June 8-12 | 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Get ready to unleash your creativity in this fun, inspiring camp designed for writers of all levels. Through games, writing challenges and collaborative activities, campers will discover their unique voice and grow as writers. They’ll have the opportunity to explore genres like poetry, fantasy, mystery and more. The week concludes with a Literary Café celebration, where campers have the option to share their favorite places of writing.

Dance (All Levels)

June 8-12 | 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Join us for an action-packed, funfilled rhythm and dance camp. Dancers will practice ballet, jazz, and tap routines while learning about rhythms and choreography. All levels of dance welcome!

Dance (Competitive)

June 1-5 | 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Designed for competitive dancers, this camp focuses on jazz, pom and hip-hop routines. Campers will learn fun combos while expanding their skillset, then showcase their talent in a performance on the final day!

Drama

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8

June 8-12 | 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Campers will experience the magic of theatre and self expression while being on stage and using props and costumes. Through imagination, expression, diction, movement, voice and character development, campers will explore the many aspects of drama and strengthen their ability to express themselves. Campers will be immersed in role playing, pantomime, improvisation skits, and a variety of theatre games which will help build acting skills, experience, and confidence.

Drawing I

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6

June 1-5 | 8-10 a.m.

This camp focuses on developing basic drawing skills. Students will practice creating simple still lifes and learn basic types of perspective. We will look at the elements of design as well as basic color relationships.

Please bring an approximately 8x11 inch sketchbook.

Drawing II

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 7 • 8

This camp focuses on further developing basic drawing skills. Students will practice creating still lifes with increasingly complex forms and learn basic types of perspective.

We will look at the elements and principles of design as well as different color relationships.

Please bring an approximately 8x11 inch sketchbook.

Game Design Camp

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8

June 1-5 | 1-3 p.m.

Students will learn the basics of game design as they design, play and test their own board and card games. Over the week, students will create new rules for existing games, prototype new game ideas and collaborate on innovative design concepts. Campers will invent characters, build game worlds, create rules and craft game pieces, all while exploring strategy, storytelling, and teamwork. By the end of the week, they will take home a fully playable game they created from scratch.

Go Figure!

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8

June 1-5 | 8-10 a.m. OR

June 8-12 | 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. In this engaging and interactive math seminar, students will improve critical problem solving skills, build math vocabulary and solve problems with new friends. The fun will continue as we build financial literacy in real-life scenarios, explore contributions of female mathematicians and celebrate Pi Day in June!

La Fiesta Del Mundo

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8

June 8-12 | 8-10 a.m.

At this Spanish Cultural Camp, campers will dive into the sights, sounds and flavors of Spanishspeaking countries through handson crafts, delicious food, festive traditions and a sprinkle of Spanish language learning. Each day, we will explore a new theme, from vibrant festivals to regional flavors, all while discovering the beauty and fun of Hispanic culture. Campers will leave with a passport full of memories and a deeper appreciation for the rich traditions of the Spanishspeaking world. Newsroom Ninjas (Digital Media)

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8

June 8-12 | 8-10 a.m.

Step into the world of TV news production in the CJTV Studio. A summer camp designed for middle schoolers to create their own show! Campers will explore the exciting process of producing a TV show, learn how to operate the cameras and equipment, write scripts, and create video content. By the end of the week, you will work with your team to produce a complete news broadcast. Please bring a USB drive (or “memory stick”) each day. Cell phones recommended for creating videos but not required.

Painting I

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6

June 8-12 | 8-10 a.m.

This camp focuses on developing basic painting skills. Students will work with both water color and acrylic paint. They will begin with grisaille paintings in order to explore value relationships before moving onto color paintings. We will explore different color mixing and application techniques.

Please bring an approximately 8x11 inch sketchbook.

Painting II

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 7 • 8

June 8-12 | 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. This camp focuses on developing painting skills. Students will work with both water color and acrylic paint. They will begin with grisaille paintings in order to explore value relationships before moving onto color paintings. Students will learn how to make an underpainting and what effects this method creates. We will explore different color mixing and application techniques including use of pallet knives and optical mixing.

Please bring an approximately 8x11 inch sketchbook.

Passport Around the World

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8

June 1-5 | 1-3 p.m.

Would you like to learn how to make Mexican worry dolls or design henna tattoos? How about learning to make Brazilian cheese bread, Russian crepes or sushi? Make your way around the world and learn about a different culture each day while making fun crafts and foods.

Photography

What you see is what you get…or is it? Go beyond the trusty pointand-shoot method of photography and learn how to take a great photo. Watch it change as you apply compositional techniques, such as angles, leading lines and the rule of thirds. Manipulate a photo’s color, light, and structure with lessons in Photoshop. Students are encouraged to bring their own digital camera. Please bring a USB drive (or “memory stick”) each day.

Pickleball

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8

June 1-5 | 1-3 p.m.

Whether you’re brand new to pickleball or already love the game, get ready to learn and have fun!

Campers will work on fundamental skills such as serving, volleying, footwork and game strategy

through games and match play. This camp emphasizes teamwork and sportsmanship, while keeping things fun and fast-paced.

Robotics

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8

PLUS: CLASS OF ‘30 (incoming freshmen)

June 8-12 | 1-3 p.m.

Are you ready to unleash your creativity and build the future through robotics? Students will learn the basics of robotics from CJA’s FIRST Robotics Competition Team with XRP Robots. Students will learn skills like the engineering design process, coding, critical thinking, teamwork and marketing. No experience is needed! On the last day, students will show off their robots and new skills in a competition.

Speech Camp

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8

June 8-12 | 8-10 a.m.

This camp is led by members of the CJA Speech Team and is designed to introduce or further develop students’ abilities in competitive speech. Campers will explore the nine speech categories offered in high school, learning skills such as public speaking, interpretation, storytelling, and performance. Through hands-on activities, coaching, and practice rounds, students will build confidence, communication skills and a strong

Stop Motion Movie Making

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8

June 1-5 | 8-10 a.m.

Step into the director’s chair! In this creative, hands-on camp, girls will design their own characters, build mini sets, and bring their stories to life using stop motion animation. From crafting scenes to capturing frame-by-frame action, campers will learn how to make movies that move—literally! By the end of the week, each filmmaker will premiere her own original stop-motion short film. Lights, camera… create!

Smart Test Prep

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8

This camp is geared toward improving knowledge and problem solving skills to achieve optimal success on adaptive assessments, or “smart tests”. Students will become familiar with the type of questions seen on smart tests, work on general testtaking skills, and work on sample test problems aimed at helping them improve their performance during test week.

Study Skills

Learn the skills you need to shine bright in the classroom! This course teaches organizational skills as well as different note-taking methods. Campers will learn how to read and analyze text as well as how to study and prepare for different types of tests.

Join CJA’s “Charger for a Week” camp to experience a fullday summer camp! High school camp counselors will lead groups each day through a sampling of sports, activities, games and more. Campers will work closely with their teams and counselors to use their bodies and brains to be active and have fun!

* Wednesday 6/17 will be an off-campus field trip. Bus transportation will be provided, more info to come via email.

Are you ready to explore the halls of Cor Jesu after the sun goes down? Get ready to be a Charger for a Night and experience CJA’s second annual sleepover! Prepare yourself for a night full of Charger cheer that will range from highenergy to chill & relaxed. A wide variety of activities, games, food and fun will be provided in this lock-in style sleepover. Bring your PJ’s and sleeping bags, but who knows if you will sleep!

Join CJA players and coaches to improve your individual ballhandling, shooting, rebounding and defensive skills. This camp focuses on fundamentals and individual instruction through competitive drills, contests and scrimmages.

Cross Country

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8

A great introduction to the sport of running for those interested in cross country or for anyone looking to improve their aerobic conditioning over the summer. In case of extreme heat, the start time will be 7 p.m.

Field Hockey

4-5:30 p.m. on CJA’s Back Field With 18 Final Four appearances in the last 20 years, the Cor Jesu Coaching Staff and players will teach the basic skills and core components of field hockey that have been the secret to their success. Sticks and eyewear will be available for campers, but please bring a mouth guard.

Golf

Meet in CJA Commons on Monday, June 1

CJA Golf Coach Mark Tueth will teach you the skills that you need to be a successful golfer. Grip, stance, swing and club selection are included in this instructional camp. The rules of the game and golf etiquette will be taught through fun drills and contests. Participants will need to bring at least one iron and one putter.

Lacrosse

Learn the ins and outs of this popular sport from one of the top programs in the St. Louis area. Coach Andrew Shipp and his staff will introduce the skills of throwing, catching, scooping and protecting the ball. For those looking to try something new, this lacrosse camp is for you! Please bring a mouth guard.

Little Chargers Soccer Camp

Join us for a week of fun as we introduce little Chargers to the beautiful game of soccer!

Experience Cor Jesu’s rich tradition on the pitch! Coach Rachel Brcic will lead campers through drills and small-sided games that emphasize shooting, passing, game tactics and team play.

Softball (one-day camp)

This one-day camp will help the beginning softball player build a solid foundation of skills and the advanced player hone theirs. Hitting, throwing and fielding techniques will be covered in this skills camp, as well as beginning and experienced pitching skills.

Tennis

4-6 p.m. at Dwight Davis Tennis Center

This camp introduces tennis skills to beginners and fine tunes the skills of the competitive players who want to play in high school. Grips, forearm and backhand strokes, lob shots and serving will be taught through personal instruction, drills and fun, competitive games. Please bring a racquet, water and towel.

Challenger Volleyball Camp

2026-2027 GRADE LEVEL: 7 • 8

July 13-17 | 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. at CJA’s Gym

The Challenger Camp is designed for volleyball players with select/ club experience and focuses on practicing and developing skills essential to competitive volleyball. We’ll cover all the basics at a fast pace and high level.

Fee: $125/$150 after May 15

Early Bird pricing is available for registrations received by May 15, 2026. Registrations submitted after May 15,2026 will be subject to a $25 per camp price increase. ALL campers will be asked to complete a media release form and a medical and emergency release form. Each enrichment camp will have a minimum of six students, maximum of 25, unless otherwise noted. Early registration is recommended, as class sizes are limited. Parents will receive a confirmation e-mail after May 15, 2026. In the event that a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, parents will be notified.

Cancellation Policy: Should your plans change and you need to cancel your registration, please notify us as soon as possible. Cor Jesu Academy will grant a 100% refund up to fourteen (14) days prior to the camp start date. Cancellations made within fourteen days of the camp start date will be subject to a $35 cancellation fee.
