WINTER WARMER

FEBRUARY 2026

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

As we settle into the new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the successes of FY25–26 and look ahead to another exciting year of collaboration, connection, and innovation in the corporate real estate industry.

I hope to see many of you at the Annual Meeting of the Membership on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 8:00 AM–10:00 AM at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, One Federal Street in Boston. We will recognize the accomplishments of our Chapter, express our gratitude to our dedicated volunteers and Board of Directors, welcome new Board Members, and network with our New England community. This gathering is an opportunity to reflect on all we’ve achieved together and to set our sights on all that is to come. Thank you to Morgan Lewis & Bockius, LLP for providing the space for us. Admission is free of charge for all members to attend.

Looking ahead, we are thrilled to invite you to this year’s Awards of Excellence , which will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 5:30 PM–9:30 PM at the Simons Theatre at the New England Aquarium, followed by a reception at The Palm—an exciting opportunity for our Chapter! This signature event honors outstanding individuals and projects that have made a lasting impact on the corporate real estate industry. Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit nominations and to this year’s judges, who are currently in the process of carefully reviewing all submissions.

WINTER POLL

This poll was conducted on the New England Chapter's LinkedIn on February 6, 2026

We look forward to sharing the winners in the coming weeks and celebrating their achievements at this special event. Sponsorship opportunities and table sales are now available—see the Awards of Excellence update in the newsletter. We hope to see you all there!

If you’re looking for a chance to connect with peers and gain deep insights from some of our industries best and brightest thought leaders and change agents, you won't want to miss the 2026 Eastern Regional Symposium (ERS), June 22-23, 2026, at MIT in Boston. This members-only event brings together 400 corporate real estate professionals—including End Users and Service Providers—for two days of learning, networking, and idea-sharing, with an outstanding lineup of industry leaders, thought-provoking discussions, behind-the-scenes project tours, and plenty of opportunities to catch up with colleagues. ERS is always a must-attend for CRE professionals. End User registration is now open, and Service Provider registration will open in early April! See the ERS section of this newsletter to learn more and register.

I look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events and continuing to build on the energy and engagement within our Chapter!

EMERGING LEADERS

2025 Holiday Party - The Emerging Leaders Committee kicked off the 2025 holiday season in early December with our annual chapter holiday party at Cushman & Wakefield’s downtown high-rise office. Nearly 150 industry professionals joined us for an evening of networking, celebration, and giving back, collecting 100 unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots to support children in need.

Guests enjoyed festive food and drinks, a roaming photo booth, and a chocolate truffle and wine pairing. Thank you to our sponsors: Creative Office Resources, Columbia Construction, Contract Sources, Elaine Construction, Citizens Bank, Cushman & Wakefield, and Sasaki for making the celebration possible.

2026 Ski Trip - On January 16, 2026 the Emerging Leaders Committee hosted our annual ski trip at Loon Mountain Resort in New Hampshire. More than 30 CRE professionals enjoyed a day of skiing, snowboarding, and networking, followed by an après-ski happy hour in the lodge.

Thank you to our attendees and event sponsors: VVA Project & Cost Managers, Part of Drees & Sommer, Lee Kennedy Inc. & Co., and Elaine Construction for helping make the trip a success!

LEADERSHIP 2.0

As this year’s Leadership 2.0 cohort comes to a close on March 12, 2026, participants have completed six sessions, with the most recent focused on executive presence and presentation skills.

The 15 cohort members have been assembled into teams for their case studies on March 12, 2026, with the theme of "Lessons from high growth and scaling companies or through merger and acquisition".

A big ‘thank you’ to Kathryn Hester with InterSytems, Ken Papetti with Iron Mountain, and Stefanie Comeau with Stantec, who will be judges for the presentations.

Here is an image from our session with Bill Kahn, a professor at BU Questrom School of Business, and one of our favorite guests!
