A MESSAGE FROM

ADAM FANDREY

PRESIDENT APRIL 2024-MARCH 2026

As I close out my term as President of the New England Chapter of CoreNet Global, I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished as a chapter. This year has been defined by momentum, driven by the strength of our community, the dedication of our volunteer leaders, and our shared commitment to advancing the corporate real estate profession.

Serving in this role has been both a privilege and a deeply rewarding experience. Our chapter’s success is a direct result of the time, talent, and energy contributed by our officers, board members, committee co-chairs, and volunteers. Their leadership continues to elevate our programming, strengthen our connections at the regional and global levels, and position our chapter for long-term success. That collective impact is reflected in the outstanding work happening across our community, and I look forward to celebrating these achievements together at the 2026 Awards of Excellence on May 6 at the New England Aquarium, followed by a reception at The Palm.

What makes this chapter truly exceptional is its culture of engagement and opportunity. Volunteering here is more than a commitment, it’s a catalyst for growth. Our

members step forward not only to give back, but to learn, lead, and build lasting relationships that extend well beyond any single event or initiative. I encourage you to take full advantage of these opportunities, whether by joining a committee, registering for the Eastern Regional Symposium in Boston this June 22–23, or contributing your thought leadership to CoreNet Global.

Over the past year, we have continued to evolve in meaningful ways. From strengthening our leadership pipeline and expanding professional development offerings, to refining our committee structure and enhancing the member experience, we have remained focused on creating value and staying responsive to the needs of our industry.

As I hand off the title of Chapter President, I do so with great confidence in the future of this organization. The foundation is strong, the leadership is committed, and the opportunities ahead are exciting.

BOARD DEVELOPMENT

BOARD OF DIRECTORS IDEATION SESSION – December 4, 2025

On December 4, 2025, the Board of Directors met for a mid-term Ideation Session at Cushman & Wakefield’s Boston office.

Three areas of focus outlined at the Ideation Session were Chapter Sponsorship, the merger of the Education and Career Strategies + Development Committees, and Board of Directors and Advisory Council roles and responsibilities.

Group

#1

Sponsorship Alignment - Sponsor satisfaction and engagement, and End User/Corporate Partner sponsor development

At the December 4, 2025, Ideation Session, Group #1 began a deep dive into chapter sponsor attraction, satisfaction, retention, and engagement. The group also focused on how the organization approaches sponsor activation and partnership value. Specifically related to growing our Corporate Partner sponsors, a focus continues to be on aligning with the priorities of our end-user sponsors, while creating meaningful opportunities for connection. The goal is to elevate sponsorships beyond visibility and continue to position them as strategic partnerships that deliver measurable value to both sponsors and the broader CRE community. Newly appointed Board Member Stefanie Comeau has joined Group #1 and will continue in the future planning and strategic work.

Group #2 - Board of Directors and Advisory Council Roles & Responsibilities

Since its formation at the December 4, 2025, Board of Directors Ideation Session, Group #2 has focused on strengthening the Chapter’s governance by clarifying roles, improving communication, and building sustainable frameworks for long-term success. The group has collaboratively defined the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of Board members and Committee Board Liaisons, emphasizing accountability, consistency, and alignment with the Chapter's goals. The group has also evaluated Board meeting structure and cadence, reinforcing the importance of regular engagement and in-person collaboration. Looking ahead, the group will continue building on this foundation by finalizing the Board Retreat’s schedule and purpose and advancing discussions around financial governance to strengthen oversight and accountability. This includes exploring a formal financial oversight structure and further defining the roles of Financial Liaisons, Executive Committee members, and Advisory Council participants. Collectively, these efforts aim to establish a clear, scalable framework to guide the Chapter into FY26–27 and beyond, supporting effective leadership, informed decision-making, and sustained success. Newly appointed Board Member Katherine Kenney has joined Group #2 for future planning work.

Group #3: Merge of Education & Career Strategies + Development Committees

The Education and Career Strategies + Development committees have recently completed a series of collaborative activities aimed at laying the groundwork for their merger. Key accomplishments include a thorough investigation to confirm content sources, a focus group feedback loop highlighted by Real Advantage End User participants, and an upcoming End User survey. Initial synergies were explored with YLDP/L2.0, and efforts to strengthen connections to CoreNet Global learning and communications were made, with anticipation of marketing ERS Professional Certification Programs. The team compiled past program topics and initiated outreach to other chapters, such as New York/New Jersey, Washington DC, and Philadelphia, to foster future collaborations. Additionally, work has been completed to solidify the new committee structure and assemble a leadership team. Looking ahead, focus on confirming member participation, reconvening committee activities, and evolving the transition plan toward a fully merged committee, including launching and marketing the rebrand. In addition, a new professional development framework will be introduced. Insights to define the curriculum structure and determine initial program offerings will also be completed. Options to share content may feature white papers, benchmark studies, skills workshops, and industry-focused deep dives or podcasts. In addition, newly appointed Board Member Cerise Marcela has joined the group.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

The George M. Conti Young Leaders Professional Development Program brings together young professional members of the The New England Chapter of CoreNet Global who spend the year together on a journey of personal and professional enrichment. The Program leverages senior members of the CRE community as faculty as well as outside professionals in the area of professional development.  It focuses on elevating young professionals’ understanding of the various disciplines that make up the corporate real estate field and, through personal one-onone coaching, allows the young leader to better understand his/her strengths and areas for improvement as well as how to enhance their personal brand and leadership skills.
