“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?
Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”
1 COR. 9:24-25 (NIV)
This verse from Corinthians underscores the timeless values of dedication, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence, qualities that resonate deeply within our Excellence in Sports program.

CHLOE KRAAK
Our aim is to develop skilled, confident, and well-rounded futsal players who excel both on and off the court. By placing a strong emphasis on technical proficiency, we ensure that each player masters the fundamental skills required to succeed in the game.
However, our focus goes beyond just individual ability; we also prioritize the importance of teamwork, recognizing that true success in futsal comes from working together as a
cohesive unit. Through our program, players learn the value of sportsmanship and to compete with integrity, win with humility, and lose with grace. We also strive to ignite and nurture a lifelong passion for futsal.
By creating an engaging and supportive environment, we encourage players to develop a deep love for the game that will sustain them throughout their sporting journey.
Our Coaches
“Sport has been a significant part of my life from a young age, giving me the opportunity to compete at club, state, and national levels. Beyond the competition, I’ve come to value the friendships, teamwork, and community that sport fosters. It teaches the importance of striving for personal improvement, learning to be gracious in both victory and defeat, and discovering the joy of physical activity”.
BILLY BAYLDON
“As a dedicated educator in the Excellence Program, I teach futsal, a passion developed through years representing Gympie, Wide Bay, and Queensland in soccer. My journey, enriched by coaching and competing, fuels my commitment to inspire students through sport. By fostering leadership and teamwork, I aim to help young athletes experience the thrill of competition and the joy of the game, giving back to our school community”.
CLAIRE VOGLER
“I grew up playing football, representing Wide Bay and CCC in futsal (as a student). Over the last couple of years, I have been playing volleyball and touch footy. I have enjoyed futsal with the prep to year 3s this year. It is a pleasure to assist families in inspiring and developing skills for their children in sports or trying something new”.

JO WILLIAMS CCC EQUESTRIAN COORDINATOR
“I’ve been around horses since I was 5 years old, and my first competition was an interschool one-day event when I was just 7.
Over the years, I successfully progressed to jumping up to 1.20 meters, representing my high school in numerous interschool show jumping events. I later reached Grand Prix level in New Zealand and competed at the Amateur level in Australia as an adult.
At 12, I was also honored to be a reserve for the New Zealand team in the Children’s World F.E.I. Dressage Challenge”.
Throughout the year, CCC hosts exciting whole school sporting events, including the Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals.
These events provide all students with the opportunity to participate, showcase their athletic talents, and support their house teams. Students who excel in these events by placing can advance to higher levels of competition, starting with District trials and potentially moving on to represent the school at Wide Bay and State levels.
These carnivals foster school spirit and provide a platform for students to develop their athletic skills and achieve personal success.
CCC BUILD
CCC Build It is an empowering program designed for young men and women in Secondary, focusing on building relationships, character, and faith through practical, hands-on experiences.
Meeting weekly before school, the CCC Build team trains together under the guidance of dedicated teaching staff, fostering a strong sense of teamwork, resilience, and personal growth.
The program provides students with opportunities to challenge themselves and develop courage, determination, and grit at off-site events, including the Spartan Super on the Gold Coast, the Kokoda Challenge on the Sunshine Coast, and the Max Adventure Race.
CCC Build It encourages students to push their limits, both physically and mentally, while cultivating lasting values.
“Man, was that sick! Physically doing a 10k run alone is an achievement, let alone throwing a whole 25 obstacles onto that! It was a fantastic and memorable experience running the Spartan Super alongside classmates and teachers. The hills, obstacles and mud pits stood no chance against us and our training from Build. Training for the Spartan Super was tough and gruelling thanks to Mr Pritchard’s experience in the army, but that made it all the more worthwhile as we virtually ran the whole race and got through all the obstacles as a team. If you are on the fence about doing Build and/or a Spartan race, just do it! You won’t regret it” -
SCOTT PRITCHARD CCC BUILD COORDINATOR
“The Build program began as a way to connect young men seeking personal challenge and has since expanded to all secondary students. Designed to build character through demanding activities inspired by military and sports disciplines, Build fosters mental and physical resilience, requiring grit and stamina. Students’ commitment and tenacity in the program reflect CCC’s CLEAR values, making it a powerful tool for personal growth”.
