Term: Spring 2026
Student Team: Grace Morton and Celine Voyard
Client: City of Providence
The City of Providence Planning Department sought to revitalize the Fox Point waterfront as a welcoming, accessible, and resilient gateway for residents and visitors, while honoring the area’s community history and supporting environmental sustainability. The Conway School student team developed phased design concepts to improve pedestrian connectivity, support the local fishing community, accommodate increased ferry terminal visitors, and strengthen climate resilience. Proposals included expanded green spaces, improved wayfinding, public art, stormwater management, floating wetlands, and flexible, year-round public amenities designed to create a vibrant and inclusive waterfront.
