At Home in Deerfield A Zoning & Housing Analysis
The town of Deerfield is a small, rural community in Franklin County, Massachusetts. The Town contracted the Conway School to create a housing analysis in support of the planned Housing Production Plan update. This report details strategies that Deerfield can undertake to increase housing while protecting its abundant natural resources, supporting equity, and preserving the rural character so many of its residents cherish.
The Conway School is the only institution of its kind in North America. Its focus is sustainable landscape planning and design and its graduates are awarded a Master of Science in Ecological Design degree. Each year, students from diverse backgrounds are immersed in a range of real-world design and planning projects, ranging from sites to cities to regions.
