Welcome Timothy!

We’re excited to welcome Timothy Beckett to the CONTROLTEK Canada team.

Timothy brings strong experience in security technology, SaaS, and RFID enabled solutions, with a proven track record of driving growth and building high performing territories across Canada and the United States.

His background, including roles with Motorola Solutions and HID Global, reflects deep expertise in protecting people, places, and assets. His customer first approach will be key as we continue to grow in the Canadian market.

Outside of work, Timothy enjoys staying active, captaining recreational hockey and softball teams, and spending time outdoors with his partner Andrea in the Ottawa region. He is also an avid golfer, even if a few shots end up in the water.

Please join us in giving him a warm welcome and helping him get settled in. We’re glad to have you on the team, Timothy.

UPDATES FROM THE TEAM

CUSTOMER & SALES SUPPORT

Custom online store for T-Mobile, designed to streamline ordering, improve visibility, and support day-to-day operations for their teams.

TECHNOLOGY

The Technology & Innovation team continues to strengthen system reliability, support customer deployments, and advance RFID and EAS capabilities.

A new SAMD firmware update resolves synchronization issues when using more than two antennas, improving stability in complex installations. An upcoming InFlight app release will introduce a “Tag Threshold” feature for audio and LED alerts.

Ongoing internal enablement around RFID solutions is supporting sales and customer education efforts.

Our quarterly cybersecurity training has been successfully completed Thank you for your continued support and vigilance in helping keep our company secure.

TEP SALES

TEP is continuing to keep the foot on the gas by creating new relationships and staying connected with existing partners. The team is looking to discover additional partnership opportunities with DTS by offering our products to their existing customers and have DTS offer CONTROLTEK products exclusively for all existing and future business.

Q1 is behind us with the onboarding of new brands like Victoria Secret, Costco, PNC, T-Mobile, and Claires while continuing to expand new product offerings with key partners such as Staples, SP Richards, WB Mason, and Office Depot. Large brands like Family Dollar, 5th/3rd bank, Dollar General, Walgreens, and Dufry are in the works as we focus on promoting the value of the CONTROLTEK brand.

Brian Diplock and Brad have started Road Show client engagement, promoting opportunities CONTROLTEK can help, and we look forward to IACOA in Dallas in early May.

TECH SALES

The team attended the ROSS Boys & Girls Club event showing our support for both organizations. It is offical, we have successfully closed Kroger, with all signatures fully executed. Now it is time for the real execution to begin.

Momentum continues to build through strong conversations and a focused outbound campaign targeting key product categories A more structured approach is helping the team get in front of retailers with the right solutions, driving engagement and expanding opportunities.

CANADA SALES

TJX CANADA 5 Store Pilot for testing CONTROLTEK RFID Tags has been expanded to 15 stores This is a big step forward For CONTROLTEK and TJX!

PROJECT MANAGMENT

The Installs and Service team continues to focus on customercentered improvements, exploring process enhancements that support more efficient installations, streamlined service workflows, and a consistently high-quality customer experience.

RETAIL COUNCIL OF CANADA

The Canadian team met with leading retailers to discuss challenges and explore scalable RFID and EAS solutions to strengthen in-store security and visibility.

Strong representation across the team drove meaningful conversations and engagement.

LPRC IMPACT

The CONTROLTEK team traveled to Gainesville to connect with AP/LP leaders and showcase our solutions. The booth featured live demos of SmartPost, highlighting real-time visibility and connected store capabilities. Dan Davies led a session alongside Cory Lowe (LPRC) sharing insights on SAM2CAM and its impact on helping retailers strengthen investigations.

To me this is a testament of a company that always puts the customer first and a team that goes the extra mile to ensure that we deliver on our promises…every day. It is exciting to have been part of the journey for the last 18 years, and here is to the next 18… Cheers!

50 years to me means innovation, constant evolution, and resilience through the hardest of times. It represents true grit the perseverance and passion for long-term success described by Angela Duckworth. Over the past nearly five years, I’ve had the chance to see the company grow and evolve while staying true to its values With much of my family having worked here, I’ve been around the business my entire life, making this anniversary not just a celebration of the company’s success, but also a personal legacy of family and growth that I’m grateful to be part of.
