Mt Ashland opening week off to a rough start By John Oliver Mt. Ashland faced a challenging opening week as a series of unexpected events disrupted the winter sports enthusiasts’ much-anticipated return to the slopes. The troubles began on day one when the Windsor ski lift experienced a malfunction, hampering the seamless start to the season for eager skiers and snowboarders. The ski lift mishap, occurring right at the outset, led to delays and inconvenience for visitors who had eagerly awaited the opening of Mt. Ashland’s winter activities. Maintenance crews worked diligently to resolve the issue, and had it fixed by the next day, but the unexpected glitch marked an unfortunate start to what enthusiasts hoped would be a smooth and exhilarating season. Just as the mountain was recovering from the initial setback, another blow hit a few days later when a power outage disrupted operations. The temporary loss of power created additional challenges for both the staff and visitors. Adding to the woes, again yesterday Mt. Ashland found itself forced to close its slopes once again, this time due to strong winds. Despite these unforeseen obstacles, Mt. Ashland remains resilient, with management and staff working diligently to address issues, restore operations, and ensure a
