Mächtige Kastanienhaine schlängeln sich entlang des Eisacktaler Keschtnweges. Vor Jahrhunderten gepflanzt, vermitteln sie Beständigkeit. Mittendrin, auf einer Anhöhe im Mittelgebirge, die schlichte Hauskapelle des Anwesens Moar zu Viersch. Ein idyllischer Ort, wie geschaffen zum Ausrasten und Atemholen. Der Blick schweift über das Tal, die Sonne spiegelt sich auf den
Bergspitzen der gegenüberliegenden Talseite. Und im Herbst leuchtet hier die Natur in ihren schönsten Farben.
- Il castagneto di Moar zu Viersch, Velturno Grandiosi castagneti accompagnano il sentiero del castagno della Valle Isarco. Piantati centinaia d’anni fa, trasmettono continuità: in mezzo a loro, su una piccola collina a mezza costa, la sobria chiesetta dell’antico maso Moar zu Viersch. Un luogo idilliaco, che sembra fatto apposta per sostare e riposare. La vista corre sulla valle, il sole splende sulle cime montuose sul lato opposto della valle. E in autunno la natura qui s i risveglia nei colori più fantastici e sgargianti.
- Chestnut forest of Moar zu Viersch, Velturno Planted centuries ago, the mighty chestnut trees winding their way along the Eisack Valley emanate a sense of permanence. Right in the middle, on a hillock in the low-mountain range, you will find the unassuming Moar zu Viersch house chapel. It is an idyllic spot to take a rest and get your breath back. The view sweeps over the valley, the sun glints off the mountain peaks on the other side of the valley and, in autumn, nature glows in all its finery.

Vom Schwimmbad in Klausen wandert man der Hauptstraße entlang bis zur Kreuzung nach Feldthurns. Hier folgt man der Markierung Weinwanderweg zuerst der Straße entlang, dann durch die Leitacher Weinhänge vorbei an verschiedenen Weingütern hoch bis zum Hienghof und von dort wieder zurück zum Schwimmbad. Unterwegs erhält man interessante Einblicke in die Weinbaukultur im Eisacktal und lernt die verschiedenen Rebsorten kennen.
Dalla piscina pubblica di Chiusa seguiamo la via principale fino all’incrocio che porta a Velturno. Attendendoci alle indicazioni che rimandano al sentiero escursionistico del vino / Weinwanderweg, proseguiamo inizialmente lungo la strada, poi attraverso i vigneti di Leitach, passando per diverse tenute vinicole, fino al maso Hienghof per ritornare infine alla piscina. Il percorso offre scorci interessanti sulla cultura vitivinicola della Valle Isarco e permette di conoscere diverse varietà di vite.
From the swimming pool in Klausen, walk up the high street until you get to the crossroads to Feldthurns. From here, you follow the signposted wine trail, firstly along the road and then through the Leitach vineyards past a number of wineries right up to the Hienghof and from there, back to the swimming pool. Along the way, you will gain a lot of interesting insights into the wine-growing tradition of the Eisack Valley and learn to recognise a variety of grape types.

Vom Parkplatz Kaseregg folgt man der Markierung Nr. 15, vorbei an der Käserei Jochalm bis man nach ca. 1 km zu einer Wegkreuzung kommt. Hier rechts halten und der Markierung 15B bis zur so genannten Stange folgen. Hier biegen Sie links ab und folgend der Markierung 15A und anschließend auf dem Weg Nr. 1 bis zum Latzfonser Kreuz. Auf dem Rückweg können Sie beim Kesslbild über Weg Nr. 15 zum Kaseregg zurücklaufen. Dal parcheggio Kaseregg ci incamminiamo sul sentiero n. 15 che passa accanto al Caseificio Jochalm e porta, dopo 1 km ca., ad un bivio. Teniamo la destra e proseguiamo sul sentiero n. 15B fino alla cosiddetta Stange. A questo punto svoltiamo a sinistra e seguiamo il segnavia 15A e più avanti il sentiero 1 fino alla Croce di Lazfons. Per il ritorno prendiamo il sentiero n. 15 all’altezza del Kesslbild che ci riporta al parcheggio Kaseregg.
From the Kaseregg car park, walk along trail no. 15 past the Jochalm cheese dairy until you get to a fork in the road about 1 km along. Keep right and walk along trail 15B until you get to the “Stange”. Here, turn left, follow trail 15A and finish on trail 1, which takes you to the Latzfons Cross. For the return journey, you can take trail 15 at Kesslbild, which takes you back to the Kaseregg car park

Vom Zentrum wandert man über die Andreasbrücke zum Ansitz Seebegg und zum Dürerstein, von wo aus Albrecht Dürer im 14. Jahrhundert eine Skizze der Stadt gefertigt hat, welche ihm als Hintergrund für seinen Kupferstich „Nemesis- das große Glück“ diente. Von hier folgt man zuerst der Markierung 5 zum Örtchen Albions, dann dem Weg Nr. 10 bis zum Ansitz Fonteklaus und schließlich dem Fußweg Nr. 4 nach Gufidaun. Von dort führt der Weg Nr. 7 nach Klausen.
Dal centro prendiamo la via che attraversa il ponte S. Andrea fino alla Residenza Seebegg e alla pietra di Dürer, punto panoramico nel quale il pittore Albrecht Dürer abbozzò nel XIV sec. un disegno della città usato poi come sfondo per la sua famosa incisione su rame “Nemesi”. Proseguiamo seguendo il sentiero n. 5 che porta ad Albions, poi prendiamo il sentiero n. 10 fino alla Tenuta Fonteklaus e infine seguiamo il sentiero n. 4 che ci riporta a Gudon. Sul sentiero n. 7 ritorniamo a Chiusa.
From the town centre, cross the Andreas bridge and walk to the Seebegg Manor and the Dürerstein, the Dürer Stone. It was from this viewpoint that, in the 14th century, painter Albert Dürer drew a sketch of the town which went on to become the background for his famed copper “Nemesis” (The Great Fortune). From here, first follow trail no. 5 to the hamlet of Albions, then trail 10 to the Fonteklaus Manor and finish your walk along trail no. 4 to Gufidaun. From there, take trail 7 back to Klausen.

Birmehlweg | Sentiero “Birmehlweg” | The Birmehl Trail
Der »Birmehlweg« startet am Dorfplatz in Verdings und führt über den Trockenrasen auf der Südseite des Kirchhügels hinunter zum Weiler Pardell, von dort hinauf zum schön gelegenen Hof Moar zu Viersch und über einen alten Pflasterweg wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
Sentiero “Birmehlweg” l sentiero »Birmehlweg« ha inizio presso la piazza del paese, a Verdignes, e toccando i prati aridi che ricoprono il lato meridionale del colle della chiesa, scende al borgo di Pardell, per poi risalire fino al Maso Moar zu Viersch, immerso nel verde, e fare quindi ritorno, su un antico sentiero lastricato, al punto di partenza.
The “Birmehl” trail begins in the village centre of Verdings and leads through the arid meadows of the southern side of the church hill down to the hamlet of Pardell and from there up to the beautifully situated Moar zu Viersch farm. An old cobblestone path takes you back to your set-off point.

Durch das Tinnetal fährt man von Klausen nach Latzfons und weiter Richtung Steineben. Dort folgt man der Forststraße, und der Markierung Klausner Hütte, im letzten Bereich teilt sich dann der Wanderweg und die Forststraße, hier bleibt man auf der Forststraße. Über einen schmalen Weg erreicht man schließlich die Klausner Hütte. Die Rückfahrt erfolgt über Kühhof, Garn, Verdings und Pardell.
Da Chiusa attraversiamo la Val Tinnetal fino a Lazfons e proseguiamo poi in direzione di Steineben. Qui seguiamo la strada forestale e le indicazioni per il Rifugio Chiusa / Klausner Hütte. Nell’ultima parte il sentiero escursionistico si divide dalla strada forestale; noi rimaniamo su quest’ultima. Lungo un sentiero piuttosto stretto arriviamo infine al Rifugio Chiusa. Per il ritorno prendiamo il percorso che si snoda per Kühhof, Caerna, Verdignes e Pardello. Bike through the Tinnetal Valley from Klausen to Latzfons and carry on in the direction of Steineben. There, follow the forest road and the directions to the Klausen Hut. On the last part of the route, the walking path and the forest road fork off. Stay on the forest road. A fairly narrow path takes you to the Klausen Hut. The return journey takes you through Kühhof, Garn, Verdings and Pardell.

Vom Parkplatz am Huber Kreuz führt die Wanderung über den Weg Nr. 4 zum Oberen Horn. Hier hat man einen einzigartigen 360° Panoramablick auf die Südtiroler Bergwelt. Von hier steigt man zum unteren Horn ab und folgt dort dem Panoramaweg mit der Nr. 19 rund um die Schwarzseespitze. Zurück am Unteren Horn führt die Wanderung über Weg Nr. 15 und schließlich Nr. 4 zum Ausgangspunkt zurück.
Dal parcheggio Huber Kreuz prendiamo il sentiero n. 4 che ci porta in cima al Corno del Renon dove ci attende un’incomparabile vista a 360° sulle montagne dell’Alto Adige. Scendiamo fino al Corno di Sotto e seguiamo il sentiero panoramico n. 19 intorno alla Punta Lago Nero. Di ritorno al Corno di Sotto, prendiamo prima il sentiero 15 e poi il sentiero 4 per ritornare al punto di partenza.
Take trail no.4 from the Huber Kreuz car park to the top of the Rittner Horn, where you will find incredible 360° views over the mountains of South Tyrol. Walk down to the lower horn and follow trail no. 19 around the Schwarzseespitze. Take trail no. 15 back to the lower horn and then trail no. 4 to get back to your set-off point.

Die Wanderung führt vom Dorfzentrum in Barbian über den Weg Nr. 5 durch Wiesen und Weinberge nach Kollmann. Ständiger Wegbegleiter ist die auf der gegenüberliegenden Talseite thronende Trostburg, Heimat des Minnesängers Oswald von Wolkenstein und eine der schönsten Schlossanlagen Südtirols. In der ehemaligen Zollstation Kollmann nehmen wir Weg Nr. 8A und folgen diesem bis nach Saubach. Über den Keschtnweg geht es schließlich nach Barbian zurück.
L’escursione parte dal centro di Barbiano e si snoda attraverso prati e vigneti (segnavia n. 5) fino a Colma. Sul versante opposto della valle possiamo ammirare il maestoso Castel Forte, un tempo residenza del poeta medievale Oswald von Wolkenstein e oggi tra le rocche più belle dell’Alto Adige. Arrivati a Colma, un tempo stazione di dogana, prendiamo il sentiero 8A e lo seguiamo fino a S. Ingenuino. Sul sentiero delle castagne ritorniamo a Barbiano. The walk leads out from Barbian village centre along trail no. 5 and takes you through meadows and vineyards to Kollmann. Along the way, you can admire the majestic Trostburg on the other side of the valley. Erstwhile home of the medieval minstrel Oswald von Wolkenstein, it is one of the most beautiful castles in South Tyrol. From the former customs office of Kollmann, take trail 8A back to Saubach and then follow the Chestnut Trail back to Barbian.

Vom Dorfzentrum geht es zum Wasserfallweg zunächst zum Unteren und dann zum Oberen Wasserfall. Von dort wandert man auf Weg 34 und 27 nach Briol und über Weg Nr. 4 nach Bad Dreikirchen weiter. Der Rückweg nach Barbian erfolgt zuerst auf Weg Nr. 6, der dann in den Weg Nr. 3 abzweigt. Über die Dorfstraße zum Ausgangspunkt zurück. Die Attraktion dieser Wanderung sind die spektakulären Barbianer Wasserfälle, der Gasthof Briol und Dreikirchen.
Dal centro paese seguiamo il sentiero Wasserfallweg che porta prima alla cascata, inferiore e poi a quella superiore. I sentieri n. 34 e 27 ci portano a Briol. Proseguendo sul sentiero n. 4 arriviamo a Tre Chiese. Per il ritorno a Barbiano prendiamo prima il sentiero n. 6 che più avanti si imbatte nel sentiero n. 3. Attraverso la via del paese ritorniamo al punto di partenza. L’attrazione principale di questa escursione sono le spettacolari cascate di Barbiano; l’albergo storico Briol e Tre Chiese.
From the town centre, follow the waterfall trail which takes you to the first waterfall and carry on to the upper fall. Trails no. 34 and 27 lead to Briol, and from there, trail no.4 will take you on to Bad Dreikirchen. Begin your return to Barbian on trail no. 6, and then branch off onto trail no. 3. The village road takes you back to your set-off point. The attractions of this walk are the spectacular Barbian Waterfalls, the historic Briol Guest House and Dreikirchen.

Von Barbian fährt man über die schmale Straße Richtung Ritten an Saubach vorbei bis nach Maria Saal, von dort fährt man über Bad Siess und Tann bis Pemmern und weiter bis Rosswangen. Über die Forststraße geht es dann vorbei am Unteren Horn auf das Rittner Horn. Die Rückfahrt erfolgt vom Merlboden über die Barbianer Almen zum Huber Kreuz und über die Asphaltstraße zurück nach Barbian.
Da Barbiano seguiamo la stretta strada verso Renon, passando per S. Ingenuino fino al santuario di Maria Saal, poi proseguiamo per gli alberghi Bad Siess e Tann fino a Pemmern e ancora a Rosswangen. La strada forestale ci porta prima al Corno di Sotto e poi al Corno del Renon. Per il ritorno prendiamo il percorso che si snoda attraverso la piana Merlboden e le malghe di Barbiano fino al Huber Kreuz e ci riconduce, su strada asfaltata, a Barbiano. Bike along the narrow path from Barbian in the direction of Ritten, pass through Saubach and on to the Maria Saal sanctuary. From there, go on past the Bad Siess and Tann hotels until you get to Pemmern and then on to Rosswangen. The forest road leads to the lower Rittner Horn. For the return journey, take the path that leads from the Merlboden through the Barbian pastures to the Huber Kreuz and along the asphalt road back to Barbian.

Vor allem im Frühjahr und im Herbst ist das Feldthurner Mittelgebirge als Wandergebiet sehr empfehlenswert. Der weitbekannte Keschtnweg findet seinen Ursprung in dieser malerischen Gegend. Von Feldthurns führt die Wanderung über den Keschtnweg nach Pardell und weiter bis zum Säbener Hof. Hier folgt man dem Weg Nr. 3A zum Hienghof und schließlich dem Weinwanderweg in umgekehrter Richtung bis zur Kreuzung mit Weg Nr. 15, der zurück ins Zentrum von Feldthurns führt.
Il territorio di mezza montagna di Velturno e dintorni si presenta come zona escursionistica particolarmente attraente soprattutto in primavera e in autunno. Infatti, è proprio qui che parte il famoso sentiero delle castagne / Keschtnweg. Da Velturno camminiamo piacevolmente fino a Pardello e più avanti fino al Säbener Hof. Qui seguiamo il sentiero n. 3A fino al maso Hieng e poi il sentiero escursionistico del vino / Weinwanderweg in senso inverso fino ad incontrare il sentiero n. 15 che ci riporta indietro nel paese di Velturno.
The Feldthurns low mountain-range is a particularly beautiful walking area in springtime. The famed Chestnut Trail begins right here in this picturesque spot. From Feldthurns, enjoy an easy walk along the Chestnut Trail to Pardell and on to the Säbener Hof. From there, take trail 3A to Hienghof and then the vineyard path in the opposite direction until you get to trail 15, which leads you back to the centre of Feldthurns.

Feldthurns ist umgeben von kleinen, überschaubaren Weilern mit schönen Kirchen und uralten Ansitzen. Vom Schloss Velthurns startet man über den Weg Nr. 18 nach Schnauders. Dort folgt man Weg Nr. 17 und 16 bis nach Garn, von wo man über Weg Nr. 10 nach Verdings und schließlich über Weg Nr. 3 zum Moar zu Viersch absteigt. Von dort führt der Keschtnweg nach Feldthurns zurück.
Velturno è circondato da graziosi paesini di grande fascino con splendide chiese e antiche residenze. Da Castel Velturno ci incamminiamo sul sentiero n. 18 che porta a Snodres. Qui seguiamo i sentieri 17 e 16 fino a Caerna. Il sentiero 10 ci porta a Verdignes, mentre per il ritorno seguiamo il sentiero n. 3 che scende fino al maso Moar zu Viersch. Il sentiero delle castagne / Keschtnweg ci riporta nel centro di Velturno.
Feldthurns is surrounded by small, quaint villages and ancient manors. From Feldthurns, take trail 18, which brings you to Schnauders. From there, follow trails no. 17 and 16 to Garn, where trail no. 10 leads on to Verdings and then no. 3 down to Moar zu Viersch. From there, the Chestnut Trail leads you back to Feldthurns.

Vom Garner Wetterkreuz der Markierung 10 Richtung Kühberg folgen. Durch Wälder und Bergwiesen geht es weiter bergan zur Waldgrenze und zum „Stoaneren Mandl“ Von dort über Weg Nr. 10A hinauf zum Königsanger, das Gipfelkreuz weist die Richtung. Vom Königsanger gelangt man über den Steig Nr. 7 zum Schutzhaus Radlsee. Der Rückweg erfolgt über Weg Nr. 10 und Nr. 14 vorbei an der Bruggerschupfe zum Kühhof. Von hier führt der Weg Nr. 17 zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
Dalla Croce di Caerna seguiamo il segnavia 10 in direzione di Kühberg. Attraverso boschi e prati di montagna proseguiamo sempre in salita fino a raggiungere il margine dei boschi e il cosiddetto ometto di pietra / Stoanerne Mandl. Qui parte il sentiero 10A che sale fino al Monte del Pascolo / Königsanger – la croce in cima alla vetta ci farà da guida. Dal Monte del Pascolo seguiamo il sentiero n. 7 fino al Rifugio Lago Rodella. Per il ritorno prendiamo il
sentiero 10, poi 14, e passiamo per la malga Bruggerschupfe fino al maso Kühhof. Il sentiero 17 ci riporta infine al nostro punto di partenza. From the Garner weather cross, follow trail no. 10 in the direction of Kühberg. Walk up through woods and mountain meadows until you get to the edge of the woods and the Stoanerne Mandl, the “stone man”. From here, take trail no. 10A up to the Königsanger - the cross on the top of the mountain will lead your way. From Königsanger, follow trail no. 7 to the Radlsee Lake mountain refuge hut. For the return journey, take trail no. 10, then no. 14, passing the Bruggerschupfe and up to the Kühhof. From here, take trail no. 17 back to your set-off point.

BIKE: Feldthurner Alm-Tour | Tour per le malghe di Velturno
Radtour auf die Feldthurner Hochalmen, den so genannten Kühberg. Vom Dorfzentrum fährt man nach Tschiffnon, dort führt die Tour über Forststraßen nach Schnauders hoch und anschließend am Skilift vorbei immer ansteigend auf den Kühberg. Hier kann man einen Abstecher zur Bruggerschupfe machen oder Richtung Latzfonser Almen weiterfahren und über den Kühhof und Garn zurück nach Feldthurns.
Tour ciclabile verso le malghe d’alta montagna di Velturno sul monte Kühberg. Dal centro paese pedaliamo fino alla frazione di Giovignano, poi seguiamo i sentieri forestali fino a Snodres. Passando per lo skilift proseguiamo sempre in salita fino al monte Kühberg. Volendo, possiamo fermarci per una sosta al rifugio Bruggerschupfe oppure proseguire direttamente verso le malghe di Lazfons e, passando per il maso Kühhof e la frazione di min. Caerna, fare rientro a Velturno.
Bike tour of the Feldthurns mountain pastures, on the Kühberg mountain. From the village centre, pedal to Tschiffnon, and then follow the forest roads up to Schnauders. Pass by the ski lift and cycle on up to the Kühberg. Here, you can stop for a break at the Bruggerschupfe or carry on in the direction of the Latzfons pastures and, passing the Kühhof and Garn, make your way back to Feldthurns.

Im Dorfzentrum folgt man Weg Nr. 4 Richtung Dreikirchen bis zur Kreuzung mit Weg. Nr. 10, auf diesem wandert man bis zur asphaltierten Almstraße. Von dort aus geht es über den Weg Nr. 11 oberhalb des Ortsteils Stofls und an den Florhöfen vorbei bis nach Dreikirchen, einem uralten Quellheiligtum, 3 aneinander gebaute gotische Kirchen geben dem Ort seinen Namen. Der Weg Nr. 4 führt schließlich über Stofels nach Villanders zurück. Dal centro paese seguiamo il sentiero n. 4 in direzione di Tre Chiese fino all’incrocio con il sentiero n. 10 che porta fino alla strada di malga asfaltata. Proseguiamo sul sentiero n. 11 sopra la frazione di Stofels e accanto ai masi Flor fino a Tre Chiese, un’antica località di culto dedicata alle divinità delle sorgenti, il cui nome risale proprio alle 3 chiesette in stile gotico che vi sorgono una accanto all’altra. Il sentiero n. 4, che passa per Stofels, ci riporta a Villandro.
From the village centre, take trail no. 4 in the direction of Dreikirchen to the junction with trail no.10, which will take you to a tarred Alpine road. From there, take trail no. 11 which leads above the village of Stofls and past the Florhöf farms to the ancient spring sanctuary Dreikirchen, and whose 3 Gothic churches standing side by side gave it its name. Trail no. 4 takes you through Stofls and back to Villanders.

Törggeleweg | Sentiero “Törggeleweg“ | Törggeleweg Chestnut Trail
Über den Keschtnweg geht es Richtung Klausen, und oberhalb des Johannserhofes, kurz bevor man ins Tal absteigt, biegt man links auf den Törggelesteig ab. Selbiger führt unterhalb von Villanders vorbei an zahlreichen Buschenschänken, welche vor allem im Herbst und im Frühjahr auch für das leibliche Wohl der Besucher sorgen, bis nach Sauders. Von dort wandert man über den Kirchsteig zurück in Dorf.
Sul sentiero delle castagne ci incamminiamo in direzione di Chiusa. Al di sopra del maso Johannserhof, poco prima di scendere verso valle, svoltiamo a sinistra e prendiamo il sentiero Törggelesteig. Quest’ultimo si snoda al di sotto di Villandro fino alla frazione di S. Maurizio e passa accanto a vari punti di ristoro e locande che offrono gustose specialità tipiche specialmente in primavera e in autunno. Arrivati a S. Maurizio, seguiamo il sentiero Kirchsteig per ritornare in paese.
Take the Chestnut trail in the direction of Klausen. Above the Johannserhof farm, just before you go down into the valley, turn left and follow the Chestnut Trail. It leads you below the town of Villanders to Sauders by way of a host of mountain restaurants and eateries which provide visitors with traditional specialities, particularly in spring and autumn. When you get to Sauders, follow the Kirchsteig path back to the village

Vom Parkplatz geht es auf Weg Nr. 6 über Moar in Plun und der Pfroder Alm bis zum Totenkirchl. Von hier stets auf Weg Nr. 6 in Richtung Schwarzseen und Moar in Ums, wo auf Weg 16B gewechselt wird. Dieser führt zum Prackfiederer Jöchl. Auf Weg Nr. 16 und anschließend 16B vorbei an der Marzuner Schupfe dann Nr. 15 zurück zum Moar in Plun, kurz danach auf Weg 23 wechseln. Hier geht es zur Rinderplatzhütte und dann auf Weg 23 und 24 zurück zur Gasserhütte.
Dal parcheggio seguiamo il sentiero n. 6 attraverso Moar in Plun e la malga Pfroder Alm fino alla Chiesetta al Morto / Totenkirchl. Proseguiamo sempre sul sentiero 6 in direzione dei Laghi Neri / Schwarzseen e Moar in Ums, dove optiamo per il sentiero 16B che conduce al giogo Prackfiederer Jöchl. Sul sentiero n. 16 e poi 16B passiamo per la malga Marzuner Schupfe. Il sentiero n. 15 ci riporta a Moar in Plun; subito dopo prendiamo il sentiero 23 che ci porta al Rifugio Rinderplatz. Seguendo i segnavia 23 e 24 ritorniamo infine al Rifugio Gasser.
From the car park, take trail no. 6 through Moar in Plun and the Pfroder Alm until you get to the Totenkirch Church. From here, stay on trail 6 in the direction of the Schwarzsee Lake and Moar in Ums where you switch to trail 16B, which takes you to Prackfiederer Jöchl. Take trail 16 and then 16B past the Marzuner Schupfe. Trail no.15 takes you back to Moar in Plun, where you switch almost immediately to trail 23. This takes you to the Rinderplatz mountain refuge hut. Follow trails 23 and 24 back to the Gasser mountain refuge hut.

Von Villanders fährt man über Gravetsch und Neuhaus auf die Alm und kann so den Verkehr auf der Hauptstraße vermeiden. Von der Gasserhütte geht es schließlich Richtung Stöfflhütte und von dort zum Kaseregg. Der Rückweg erfolgt durch das Tinnetal bis zum Schloss Garnstein von dort fährt man zum Anna Kirchl und schließlich wieder zurück ins Dorfzentrum.
Da Villandro passiamo per la località di Gravetsch e il maso Neuhaus per arrivare fino all’alpe ed evitare così il traffico sulla via principale. Dal Rifugio Gasser proseguiamo in direzione del Rifugio Stöfflhütte e poi fino al Kaseregg. Per il ritorno prendiamo il percorso che attraversa la Valle di Tinnetal e ci porta fino a Castel Garnstein. Proseguiamo fino alla chiesetta di S. Anna e facciamo rientro in paese.
To get to the Alpine pasture from Villanders, go through Gravetsch and Neuhaus in order to avoid the traffic on the main road. When you get to the Gasser hut, carry on in the direction of the Stöfflhütte alpine hut and from there to Kaseregg. For the return journey, take the path through the Tinnetal Valley to Garnstein Castle, on to the St. Anna Church and back to the village centre.

Mit einem Aperitivo Lungo eröffnet die Sabiona18 am Freitag, 25. Mai ab 17 Uhr am Pfarrplatz von Klausen, ganz im Zeichen des Eisacktaler Weines, kulinarischen Highlights und "Music by Pietro Backstrom/Lounge". Am Samstag, 26. Mai verwandeln sich die Gassen des Künstlerstädtchens ab 17 Uhr in einen Genussparcour, der zum Verkosten der Eisacktaler Weine einlädt und Begegnungen mit Winzer und Kellermeister ermöglicht. Passend dazu, reichen die Klausner Gastbetriebe Fingerfood und runden das besondere Gaumenerlebnis unter freiem Himmel ab.
La Sabiona18 apre venerdì 25 maggio, a partire dalle ore 17, in Piazza Parrocchia a Chiusa, farà da cornice ad una serata tutta dedicata ai vini della Valle Isarco, un aperitivo lungo, allieteranno i visitatori con esperienze culinarie e "Music by Pietro Backstrom/Loung". Sabato 26 maggio, a partire dalle ore 17, i vicoli della cittadina degli artisti si trasformeranno in un interessante percorso enogastronomico, percorrendo il quale si potranno degustare i vini della Valle Isarco e sarà possibile incontrare viticoltori e cantinieri. A soddisfare i palati più fini le delicate specialità proposte dalla gastronomia che sarà possibile gustare all´aria aperta.
Starting on Friday, May 25 at 5 p.m. sees the opening of the event with an aperitivo lungo. The historic town of Klausen and the very character of the Isarco Valley wine will spoil the visitors with culinary delicacies and music by Pietro Backstrom/Lounge. Saturday, May 26 at 5 pm, turns the alleys of the artists’ town into a pleasure course inviting you to taste the Isarco Valley wines and meet the winemakers and cellar masters. To top this culinary open-air experience off, our gastronomy will serve its finest food.

01.-16.09.2018 | Die Zwetschke ist aus der Barbianer Küche, Backstube und Brennerei einfach nicht mehr wegzudenken und so steht das „Dorf mit dem schiefen Turm“ zum 10. mal zwei Wochen lang im September im Zeichen der Herbstfrucht: Barbianer Gastbetriebe servieren Gerichte aus der Barbianer Zwetschke, in den Geschäften gibt es Zwetschkenbrot, Zwetschkenkäse, Trockenzwetschken und vieles mehr.

E`cosi che nel paesino “della torre storta” si dedica per la 10° volta due settimane a questo frutto autunnale. Ristoranti di Barbiano servono piatti a base di prugne autoctone, nei negozi vendono prodotti tipici come il pane alle prugne, la marmellata alle prugne ed anche prugne secche.

Im Oktober und November dreht sich im Eisacktal wieder alles um jene Frucht, die das Landschaftsbild des Eisacktals wesentlich prägt: die Kastanie. Jedes Jahr rücken die Eisacktaler Gastbetriebe im Rahmen der Spezialitätenwochen „Eisacktaler Kastanienwochen“ die stachelige Frucht in das Rampenlicht und servieren Köstlichkeiten von der Kastanie: Kastaniensuppe, Kastaniengratin mit Äpfeln, Kastanienschmarren und viele Kastaniengerichte mehr stehen auf den Speisekarten.
Val d’Isarco – In ottobre e in novembre nella Val d’Isarco tutto ruota attorno al frutto che caratterizza il modo incisivo il paesaggio della valle: la castagna. Ogni anno i ristoranti della Val d’Isarco nell’ambito dell’iniziato “Settimane delle castagne della Valle Isarco” pongono il frutto spinoso al centro dell’attenzione e servono delizie culinarie dalla zuppa di castagne al gratin di castagne con mele fino al “Kaiserschmarren” (Frittata dolce) con castagne.

The Abbey, the Church of the Holy Cross and the Chapel of Mercy are open daily from 8am to 5pm year-round. The Church of Our Lady is open from July to September on Tuesdays, Wednesdays (Guided visit with archaeologist Dr. Nothdurfter), Fridays and Saturdays from 2pm to 5pm. New: From 19.07. to 27.09.2018 every thursday at 9.30am starts a guided tour from the Tourist Office in Klausen to Säben/Sabiona.

Der schiefe Kirchturm von Barbian | La torre pendente di Barbiano | The crooked church tower of Barbian
Die dem heiligen Apostel und Pilgerpatron Jakobus geweihte Kirche von Barbian wurde im 13. Jahrhundert gebaut. Von jenem Bau ist uns aber nur der schiefe Glockenturm erhalten geblieben. Das Gotteshaus wurde damals im romanischen Stil errichtet. Gotische Elemente erhielt das Gebäude 1472. 18741877 wurde das neuromanische Langhausteil an dem gotischen Baukörper (die heutige Sakristei) angebaut. Die starke Schieflage des Glockenturmes ist darauf zurückzuführen, dass die talseitige Hälfte auf einem unstabilen Erdreich der Mittelgebirgsterrasse liegt; die restliche Hälfte des Turmfundamentes liegt auf stabilem Quarzphyllitfelsen. Mit einem felsmechanischen Eingriff in den Jahren 1985-1988 wurde die Festigkeit des Glockenturmes von Ing. Fulvio Pisetta gesichert. Turmhöhe: 37,00 Meter, Neigung: 1,56 Meter
La chiesa di Barbiano, dedicata all’apostolo e patrono dei pellegrini, il santo Giacomo, è stata costruita nel duecento. Di quel tempo, è rimasto soltanto il campanile pendente. L’edificio di quell’ora è stato costruito nel stile romano. Nell’anno 1472 la chiesa ha ottenuto elementi gotici. 1874-877 il complesso è stato allargato con la navata neoromana, attaccata alla parte esistente (sagrestia d’oggi). L’estrema pendenza del campanile è riconducibile al sottosuolo. Una metà del fondamento è stata costruita su terra semplice, l’altra su roccia stabile. Con un intervento geo-meccanico del ing. Fulvio Pisetta nei anni 1985-1988, la fermezza del campanile è stata assicurata. altezza: 37,00 metri, pendenza: 1,56 metri.
The church of Barbian was built in the 13th century consecrated to the apostle and patron Saint Jacob. Today the only remaining of the old church is he bell tower. The church was constructed in a Romanesque style and in the year 1472 it obtained Gothic elements. In 1874-877 the NeoRomanesque nave was added to the Gothic main body (today’s sacristy). The inclination of the campanile is attributed to the different grounding on which the tower was built. The half on the downhill side lies on the unstable soil of the Central Uplands and the other half on solid quartzphillite-rocks. Ing. Der Ganderbach stürzt über bis zu 85 Meter hohe Wasserfälle, bevor er bei Kollmann in den Eisack fließt. Bei einer Länge von 6 Kilometern überwindet er 1510 Höhenmeter.
Le cascate Ganderbach a Barbiano sono alte fino a 85 m. Nel suo percorso lungo 6 kilometri il torrente supera un dislivello di 1510 metri e confluisce nel fiume Isarco a Colma.
The Ganderbach River flows out into an 85m high waterfall before it reaches the Eisack River in Kollmann. At over 6 kilometres long, it covers an elevation difference of 1510 metres.
Auf einer Waldlichtung mit herrlichem Panoramablick entstanden an der Stelle eines uralten heidnischen Quellenheiligtums zwischen dem 13. und dem 16. Jahrhundert, drei kleine, ineinander verschachtelte Kirchen.
Su una radura boschiva con splendido panorama, in una vecchia località di cultura pagana, tra il 13° e il 16° secolo, sorsero tre piccole chiesette, una vicino all’altra. Set in a clearing with incredible panoramic views we find the site of an ancient pagan spring sanctuary where, back in the13th and 16th centuries, three small churches were built side by side.

Il sito archeologico di Plunacker a Villandro con testimonianze di varie epoche, dal Mesolitico (7°–8° secolo avanti Christo) al Medioevo, merita di essere visitato.
The archaeological site of Plunacker in Villanders is also well worth a visit, with findings dating from a wide range of eras, from the Middle Stone Age of 78,000 B.C. up to the Middle Ages.

Das Bergwerk oberhalb von Villanders war einst eines der ertragreichsten des Landes. Seit 1940 ist der Bergbau eingestellt, heute erhält man hier einen Einblick in die traditionellen Abbaumethoden, die Förderleistung und Verarbeitung des Erzes sowie Arbeitsbedingungen der Knappen.
In passato, la miniera di Villandro fu tra le più importanti del paese. Il 1940 segnala la fine dell’estrazione di minerali. Oggi la miniera offre una panoramica sui tradizionali metodi di estrazione, sul rendimento produttivo e sulla lavorazione dei metalli nonché sulle condizioni lavorativi dei miniatori.
The mountain mine above Villanders was at one time one of the most productive in the land. The mine was closed down in 1940, and today visitors can get a glimpse of the traditional mining methods, the conveyor system and the ore processing system as well as the working conditions of the miners.

Die museumobil Card vereint zwei Angebote, die südtirolweite Mobilcard und den Eintritt in die Südtiroler Museen.
An drei oder sieben aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen kann man mit der museumobil Card die Südtiroler Museumslandschaft erkunden und sich mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln fortbewegen. Die Benützung der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel ist unbegrenzt, die museumobil Card berechtigt zu je einem Eintritt in 82 Museen in Südtirol.

Grazie alla museumobil Card si potranno scoprire i musei altoatesini e spostarsi con i trasporti pubblici per tre o sette giorni (a scelta). L’utilizzo dei mezzi pubblici è illimitato e la museumobil Card consente un singolo accesso a 82 musei in Alto Adige.
