Die 5. Jahreszeit im Eisacktal

Wenn im Herbst die Tage kürzer werden und sich die Natur in ihr einzigartiges, buntes Kleid legt, dann wird im Eisacktal die fünfte Jahreszeit, die Törggelezeit, eingeläutet. Die Bauern in den Buschenschänken öffnen ihre Stuben und bieten dem Gast hausgemachte Köstlichkeiten aus Hof und Feld an.

La quinta stagione nella Valle Isarco

Quando in autunno le giornate si fanno più corte e il paesaggio si trasforma in una tavolozza di colori, in Valle Isarco si festeggia l’arrivo della quinta stagione, ovvero il periodo delle tradizionali castagnate (Törggelen). Nelle locande contadine del posto, si possono assaggiare i prodotti tipici dell’autunno e ottime specialità fatte in casa.

Whenever the days are getting shorter in autumn and the countryside takes on its unique array of colours, then it is time for Törggelen. In the traditional farmer‘s taverns (Stuben) specialties of the harvest and the new wine for tasting will be offered.

Kosten für Busse, Aufstiegsanlagen, Verpflegung, Eintritte usw. müssen vom Gast selbst getragen werden! Vergünstigungen mit KlausenCard! Anmeldungen jeweils bis spätestens 17.00 Uhr des Vortages (bei Wanderungen am Montag, bis Samstag um 12.00 Uhr).

Per gli ospiti dell'area vacanze Chiusa, Barbiano, Velturno e Villandro le escursioni sono gratuite (eccetto se non indicato diversamente). I costi per pullman, impianti di risalita, vitto, ingressi, etc., sono a carico dei partecipanti. Riduzioni con la ChiusaCard! Das Fahrgastaufkommen auf den einzelnen Linien wird kontinuierlich überwacht, Konzessionäre und Ämter tun ihr Möglichstes, um die erforderliche Anzahl an Bussen bereitzustellen.

Bereits um die Wende des 12. Jahrhunderts ist von einem Turm in Gufidaun die Rede, der heutige Bau dürfte ab der Mitte des 14. Jahrhunderts entstanden sein.

Das Latzfonser Kreuz ist der höchstgelegene Wallfahrtsort Südtirols und zählt zu den höchsten Pilgerstätten Europas. Auf 2.300 Metern unterhalb der Kassianspitze gelegen ist es zudem ein einzigartiges Wanderziel in den Sarntaler Alpen.

La Croce di Lazfons è il luogo di pellegrinaggio più alto d’Europa. Situato a 2.300 m a ridosso della Cima di S. Cassiano rappresenta inoltre una straordinaria meta escursionistica nelle Alpi Sarentine.

The Latzfons Cross is the highest pilgrimage site in South Tyrol and one of the highest in Europe. Situated at 2,300m, just below the Kassian peak, it is also one of the most incredible hiking destinations in the Sarntal Alps.

Der schiefe Kirchturm von Barbian | La torre pendente di Barbiano

The crooked church tower of Barbian

Die dem heiligen Apostel und Pilgerpatron Jakobus geweihte Kirche von Barbian wurde im 13. Jahrhundert gebaut. Von jenem Bau ist uns aber nur der schiefe Glockenturm erhalten geblieben. Das Gotteshaus wurde damals im romanischen Stil errichtet. Gotische Elemente erhielt das Gebäude 1472. 1874-1877 wurde das neuromanische Langhausteil an dem gotischen Baukörper (die heutige Sakristei) angebaut. Die starke Schieflage des Glockenturmes ist darauf zurückzuführen, dass die talseitige Hälfte auf einem unstabilen Erdreich der Mittelgebirgsterrasse liegt; die restliche Hälfte des Turmfundamentes liegt auf stabilem Quarzphyllitfelsen. Mit einem felsmechanischen Eingriff in den Jahren 1985-1988 wurde die Festigkeit des Glockenturmes von Ing. Fulvio Pisetta gesichert. Turmhöhe: 37,00 Meter, Neigung: 1,56 Meter.

La chiesa di Barbiano, dedicata all’apostolo e patrono dei pellegrini, il santo Giacomo, è stata costruita nel 13° secolo. Di quel tempo, è rimasto soltanto il campanile pendente. L’edificio di quell’ora è stato costruito nel stile romano. Nell’anno 1472 la chiesa ha ottenuto elementi gotici. 1874-1877 il complesso è stato allargato con la navata neoromana, attaccata alla parte esistente (sagrestia d’oggi). L’estrema pendenza del campanile è riconducibile al sottosuolo. Una metà del fondamento è stata costruita su terra semplice, l’altra su roccia stabile. Con un intervento geo-meccanico del ing. Fulvio Pisetta nei anni 1985-1988, la fermezza del campanile è stata assicurata. Altezza: 37,00 metri, pendenza: 1,56 metri. The church of Barbian was built in the 13th century consecrated to the apostle and patron Saint Jacob. Today the only remaining of the old church is the bell tower. The church was constructed in a Romanesque style and in the year 1472 it obtained Gothic elements. In 1874-1877 the Neo-Romanesque nave was added to the Gothic main body (today’s sacristy). The inclination of the campanile is attributed to the different grounding on which the tower was built. The half on the downhill side lies on the unstable soil of the Central Uplands and the other half on solid quartz-phillite-rocks. Ing. Fulvio Pisetta carried out a mechanical intervention in 19851988 to assure the stability of the church tower. Height: 37,00 metres, Inclination: 1,56 metres.

| Barbian Waterfalls

Der Ganderbach stürzt über bis zu 85 Meter hohe Wasserfälle, bevor er bei Kollmann in den Eisack fließt. Bei einer Länge von 6 Kilometern überwindet er 1510 Höhenmeter. In mehreren Kaskaden stürzen die Wasserflälle insgesamt 200 Meter in die Tiefe. Le cascate Ganderbach a Barbiano sono alte fino a 85 m. Nel suo percorso lungo 6 kilometri il torrente supera un dislivello di 1510 metri e confluisce nel fiume Isarco a Colma. The Ganderbach River flows out into an 85 m high waterfall before it reaches the Eisack River in Kollmann. At over 6 kilometres long, it covers an elevation difference of 1510 metres.

In der Burganlage des 11. bis 16. Jahrhunderts können Einrichtungs- und Kunstgegenstände verschiedener Epochen besichtigt werden. Weiters ist eine Sammlung von rund 80 einzigartigen Modellen Südtiroler Burgen aus der Hand des Ludwig Mitterdorfer (1885-1963) ausgestellt.

Dreikirchen | Tre Chiese | Three Churches

Auf einer Waldlichtung mit herrlichem Panoramablick entstanden an der Stelle eines uralten heidnischen Quellenheiligtums zwischen dem 13. und dem 16. Jahrhundert drei kleine, ineinander verschachtelte Kirchen.

Su una radura boschiva con splendido panorama, in una vecchia località di cultura pagana, tra il 13° e il 16° secolo, sorsero tre piccole chiesette, una vicino all’altra.

Set in a clearing with incredible panoramic views we find the site of an ancient pagan spring sanctuary where, back in the 13th and 16th centuries, three small churches were built side by side.

Totenkirchl | Chiesetta del morto | Chapel of Death

Die Kapelle am Toten auf der Villanderer Alm steht auf der früheren Grenze zwischen dem Eisacktal und dem Sarntal. Unweit vom Totenkirchl in ca. 20 Minuten Gehzeit erreicht man den Totensee mit Wellnessliegen. La Chiesetta al Morto (Totenkirchl) sull'Alpe di Villandro si trova sulla vecchia linea di confine tra la Valle Isarco e la Val Sarentino. In ca. 20 minuti si raggiunge il Lago dei Morti (Totensee) con dei lettini wellness. This “Chapel of Death” at the Villanderer Alm lies on the former border between the Eisack and Sarntal Valleys. Not far from the Totenkirchl in about 20 minutes walking time you reach the Totensee with wellness loungers.

The archaeological site of Plunacker in Villanders is also well worth a visit, with findings dating from a wide range of eras, from the Middle Stone Age of 7,000-8,000 B.C. up to the Middle Ages.

Bergwerk Villanders | Miniera di Villandro | Villanders Mountain Mine

Das Bergwerk oberhalb von Villanders war einst eines der ertragreichsten des Landes. Seit 1940 ist der Bergbau eingestellt, heute erhält man hier einen Einblick in die traditionellen Abbaumethoden, die Förderleistung und Verarbeitung des Erzes sowie Arbeitsbedingungen der Knappen. In passato, la miniera di Villandro fu tra le più importanti del paese. Il 1940 segnala la fine dell’estrazione di minerali. Oggi la miniera offre una panoramica sui tradizionali metodi di estrazione, sul rendimento produttivo e sulla lavorazione dei metalli nonché sulle condizioni lavorativi dei miniatori.

The mountain mine above Villanders was at one time one of the most productive in the land. The mine was closed down in 1940, and today visitors can get a glimpse of the traditional mining methods, the conveyor system and the ore processing system as well as the working conditions of the miners.

Erleben Sie Natur pur und übernachten Sie im Biwak Camp auf der Villanderer und Latzfonser Alm! Genießen Sie schon am Morgen die unberührte Natur inmitten der Dolomiten mit einem einmaligen 360°-Panoramarundblick! Eine Sonnenuntergangs-Schneeschuhwanderung mit anschließendem Gipfel-Erlebnis, sowie weitere thematische Schneeschuhwanderungen sind die besonderen Highlights neben der atemberaubenden Berg- und Winterlandschaft.

Immergetevi nell’autentica natura, pernottando nel Biwak Camp sull’Alpe di Villandro e Lazfons! Godetevi sin di prima mattina il paesaggio incontaminato nel cuore delle Dolomiti con una straordinaria vista a 360°!

Una passeggiata con le ciaspole al tramonto, con successiva emozione in vetta o una ciaspolata a tema nell’incantevole paesaggio alpino invernale sono gli appuntamenti clou del vostro soggiorno. Il camp è assistito 24 ore su 24 da esperte guide sciistiche ed escursionistiche, mentre i pasti vengono consumati nel vicino rifugio “Stöfflhütte”, che funge anche da ristoro.

A special kind of adventure awaits participants at the Villanderer and Latzfonser Alm (mountain pasture): guided hikes, educational and entertaining highlights, an exciting programme and an overnight in bivouac tents.

Trained, qualified mountain guides oversee the camp around the clock. The 'Stöfflhütte' alpine hut serves as a retreat and provides overnight shelter in the event of bad weather. The evening meal is served there, and it also has washroom facilities.
