COUNTRY CLUB Down the Middle

As we welcome the start of a new year, I would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and engagement throughout 2025. A new year brings fresh energy, new ideas, and exciting opportunities, and we are very much looking forward to what lies ahead for our Club in 2026. This year will include a number of meaningful improvements and projects designed to enhance the member experience across all areas of the Club. As planning progresses, we look forward to communicating regularly and sharing updates as projects begin to take shape. Your feedback continues to play an important role in our planning process, and we are actively using the insights gathered from the recent member survey as we build our priorities for the year ahead. Our departmental action plans, shaped by that feedback, will be shared with the membership in March. An exciting calendar of events is planned for the year, and the 2026 calendar is included so you can mark your calendars for your favorite experiences. We are especially looking forward to a busy and fun February, with events including cornhole, trivia, Galentine’s, Valentine’s celebrations, and brand-new events including an Around the World Culinary Experience and a Monthly Member Happy Hour. The Clubhouse will reopen on January 29, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back. The team is energized and ready for a great start to the year, and we look forward to seeing the Club filled with activity, connection, and memorable moments in the months ahead. LOOKING AHEAD: A NEW YEAR OF EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES AT THE CLUB

Happy New Year! Only 51 days until March 1 s t , 93 days until the Masters! We want to share a couple maintenance tasks with you during the winter months. Lately, we have been dropping several trees in house while we are waiting for a good freeze for Martins to remove 25 very large, dying oak trees and 3 of them were damaged by lightning. We marked them while the leaves were on the tree, so we didn’t pick the wrong tree. Once you remove a tree, you cannot replace it. Anyway, these dying trees are scattered all over the golf course so it will not be obvious. We have trees to remove from the creek banks yet. We will tackle that sometime in January or February. The weather is supposed to be warm by January 9 t h , so we are hoping to strip the sod off the green tees on #6, #9, and #12 to get ready to add topsoil. We will be elevating and leveling these three tees. The weather got cold quickly in December and then we had 4 inches of snow that covered the course for quite a while. During that time, the greens thawed out twice. On December 19 t h , when the greens thawed out, we got 1 inch of rain.

The greens were so soft and

mushy, we were concerned with root shearing. Thank you for your patience while preserving the health of these greens. Matt Turner

HAPPY NEW YEAR! COUNTDOWN TO GOLF SEASON BEGINS

2026 GOLF REMINDERS

MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO INFORM THEIR GUESTS OF ALL CLUB POLICIES BEFORE THEY ARRIVE. DRESS CODE ALL MALE GOLFERS MUST HAVE A COLLARED SHIRT, SHORTS OR SLACKS. BLUE JEANS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE GOLF COURSE AT ANY TIME. ALL HATS MUST BE WORN FORWARD AT ALL TIMES AND SHIRTS MUST BE ALWAYS TUCKED IN. MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO INFORM THEIR GUESTS OF ALL CLUB POLICIES BEFORE THEY ARRIVE. PACE OF PLAY PACE IS VERY IMPORTANT AT CONESTOGA. WE OPERATE ON TEN (10) MINUTE TEE TIME INTERVALS. ALL GROUPS SHOULD BE AT THE FIRST TEE NO LESS THAN 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR TEE TIME. KEEP IN MIND THAT PACE OF PLAY IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY. ALWAYS KEEPING THE GROUP AHEAD OF YOU IN SIGHT WILL MAINTAIN A PROPER PACE. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE GROUP BEHIND YOU. IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP UP WITH YOU. COURSE CARE MATT AND HIS CREW WORK VERY HARD TO MAINTAIN THE GOLF COURSE AND KEEP IT IN THE BEST CONDITION FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT. PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER TO REPAIR ALL BALL MARKS, REPLACE ALL DIVOTS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE DIVOT MIX OR FILL ALL DIVOTS WITH THE MIX PROVIDED. ALL PAR THREE HOLES HAVE CONTAINERS FILLED WITH DIVOT MIX, SO PLEASE USE THEM TO FILL YOUR DIVOTS. MATT HAS ALSO ADDED A REFILL STATION AT NUMBER 10 TEE AND BOTTLES ARE AVAILABLE FOR WALKERS AT THE CHECK-IN STATION IN FRONT OF THE GOLF SHOP. CART RULES THIS CONTINUES TO BE ONE OF OUR BIGGEST ISSUES. PLEASE ALWAYS FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONAL SIGNS. CARTS PATHS SHOULD BE USED WHEREVER THEY ARE AVAILABLE. PAR THREES ARE ALWAYS CART PATH ONLY. THEN ENCOUNTERING THE SMALL WHITE STAKES IN FRONT OF GREENS, RETURN TO THE NEAREST PATH IMMEDIATELY. DRIVING RANGE WHEN USING THE RANGE AREA PLEASE HIT OFF THE APPROPRIATE AREAS. WHEN USING MATS PLEASE HIT IRONS OFF THE LOWEST GRASS HEIGHT AND AVOID THE RECESSED TEE AREA. WOODS AND HYBRIDS CAN BE HIT OFF THE HIGHER GRASS AREA. THIS WILL HELP INCREASE THE LIFE SPAN OF THE TURF AREA. WHEN ON THE GRASS AREA, PLEASE TAKE DIVOTS IN A STRAIGHT LINE. THIS WILL HEAL FASTER THAN SCATTERING DIVOTS IN MULTIPLE AREAS. TEE TIMES WEEKDAY TEE TIMES CAN BE MADE 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE BY EITHER CONTACTING THE PRO SHOP OR MAKING THEM ONLINE THROUGH THE WEB SITE. WEEKEND TEE TIMES WILL BE DRAWN AT 12PM ON WEDNESDAYS BY THE PROFESSIONAL STAFF. REQUESTS CAN BE SUBMITTED IN THE CARD BOX OUTSIDE THE PRO SHOP OR BY EMAILING WEEKENDTEETIMES@CONESTOGACC.COM. GUEST REGISTRATION ALL GUESTS MUST REGISTER IN THE PRO SHOP. PAYMENT CAN BE MADE BY CREDIT CARD, CASH OR MEMBER ACCOUNT.
