As we welcome the start of golf season, it is great to see the course beginning to come back to life with shades of green returning across the property. There is always a renewed sense of energy this time of year, and it is exciting to see members back out enjoying the course and the club.
April is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month There are a number of great events and activities planned, so I encourage you to take a few moments to review everything included in this newsletter. It is hard to believe that summer is right around the corner, and with that comes so much to look forward to including junior golf league, junior clinics, swim team, ladies and men’s golf events, and a full calendar of social events I recommend taking a look ahead and marking your calendars to ensure you get the most out of your club experience.
The pub renovation continues to move along nicely. While we have experienced a delay in furniture arrival, the majority of the renovation is now complete, including the women’s restroom. Beginning Monday, April 6, we will start demolition of the men’s restroom, with an anticipated completion by the end of April. We will continue to share updates as we move through the final stages and look forward to announcing a ribbon cutting ceremony in the near future.
As we head into the season, I also want to highlight our new member referral program. Our members are our greatest resource when it comes to welcoming new families to the club. The sense of community here at Conestoga is what makes this place so special If you have friends, family, neighbors, or colleagues who would enjoy the club, I encourage you to invite them to experience it firsthand. As a thank you, any member who refers a new golf member will receive one month of complimentary dues. There is no better way to grow our community than through the relationships that already exist within it.
We are also working hard to improve your experience through staff training. Over the next month, all departments are focused on training and onboarding new team members as we build for another great season. We are excited about the group we are assembling and the service experience we will deliver. If you know anyone looking for summer employment, please direct them to our website to review current job openings.
A reminder that our Board of Governors election is approaching in May. We are currently seeking candidates who have an interest in serving the club in this important role. If you would like to be considered, please submit your cover letter and resume to me by April 24.
As we head into a new season, we will continue to communicate reminders that are helpful in ensuring all members enjoy a great club experience. I encourage you to read our communications so you can stay up to date on standards and expectations that help protect the experience for everyone.
I am fired up and energized for the season ahead and look forward to seeing all of you around the club!

Man! It got hot quickly! Where are the cool days of spring where we needed to wear light jackets? Oh, well that is Mother Nature for sure!
Since winter was bad with snow cover for extended periods of time, Martins was able to come in and remove all of the dying trees. This winter, we were able to remove 36 trees. Fun facts – in the last 6 years,weremoved440treesofftheproperty!
The next step is to grind the stumps out and then harvest the shavings. Once that is complete, we top it off with topsoil and then seed it.We are still going to rebuild 3 green tees, 6 red/green, 9 green, and 12 red/green. Better late than never but our priority was to finish the tree work and widen the approaches at the same time. Wewillbuildtheteesshortly.
Anyway, speaking of snow covering, I believe it was truly a blessing because we came out of winter very healthy and full, like the turf was already two weeks ahead of schedule. The reason behind this was because this was the best snow blanket that I ever saw. It had a nice 1 inch thick of ice on the top but underneath the ice, the snow wasverylight, dry, andairy.Theturfwasabletobreatheunderneath that snow cover That is why the turf in this region looks great!
