CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY OF EDMONTON Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) is a university of action and passion, small enough that every student is essential but large enough to make real differences when we tackle global challenges. We are a students’ university. The Financial Aid and Awards Office assists prospective and enrolled students in reducing financial barriers in pursuit of their educational goals by being a resource for government financial assistance programs, institutional and external scholarship and bursary opportunities.

Pay My Tuition – Your tuition is due on the first day of class each term. One month before classes begin, you can view your personal statement of account in Online Services for Students. If you have been approved to receive a student loan, please avoid making a duplicate payment and wait for your student loan/grant funding to be received by Concordia before paying any remaining balance. Be Prepared – Before putting your nose to the books, take time to make a budget for the upcoming academic year. You can make a budget in 3 easy steps using the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada’s Online Budget Planner. Get started at CONCORDIA.AB.CA/FINANCIAL-WELLNESS
FINANCIAL AID RESOURCES UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is awarded to high school students (Canadian and International) entering their first year of post-secondary study in Arts, Management, or Science with a 75% or higher awards average. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years. Automatic consideration is given to those who apply for Fall admission by April 1st*; Winter admission by August 1st. Award Average

PETER TOMARAS BMgmt 2023 University Entrance Scholarship Recipient
I am grateful to have received the University Entrance Scholarship throughout my time at Concordia University of Edmonton. The opportunity to renew it every year is significant as it helps relieve the financial burden of university education. The Entrance Scholarship was a catalyst in my education journey that allowed me to thrive as a full-time student athlete on the school’s Men’s Ice Hockey Team. With the support of this and other scholarships, I completed my 4-year Bachelor of Management at Concordia, where I am now studying to apply to law school. My time at CUE was special and I am beyond grateful for all the opportunities it provided me.
UNIVERSITY TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP Students who transfer to Concordia University of Edmonton with a minimum 24 university-level transferable credits may be eligible for a one-time $1,500 scholarship. Students must present a minimum 3.5 or higher admission GPA and be working toward the completion of their first baccalaureate degree program. Automatic consideration for those who apply for admission by June 1st.

STUDENT LOANS AND GRANTS FOR CANADIANS The federal and provincial/territorial government student financial assistance programs offer interest free loans and grants to Canadian citizens, permanent residents and protected persons. Students apply for assistance through their province or territory of residence. It’s worthwhile to apply early so that your funding is in place before fee payment deadlines. You can apply for a student loan even before you are registered in classes.

MY CHECKLIST Talk to your parents/guardians about how you’re going to pay for university. Save money from your part-time and summer jobs. Open your student bank account if you don’t already have one. Start your scholarship and bursary search early. Understand your costs and know your payment deadlines. Create a budget for university. Apply early for a student loan. Track your spending and stay on track. Join student groups and connect with others who can provide helpful tips and advice.
