Concordia Textiles wants to conserve the environment as much as possible. We therefore invest in the sustainability of our organization, processes and products which applies to all our branches of the Concordia Textiles Group.
For many of our existing fashion qualities we offer our customers a sustainable alternative, bundled in the Greenline family of products.
The Sustainable Development Goals are our building blocks towards a sustainable textile sector. By focusing on SDGs relevant for our industry, we are able to minimize our negative impact and maximize our positive impact.
We produce fabrics out of recycled polyester and polyamide yarns as well as bio-based yarns. You may chose to use recycled yarn in both warp and weft or only in weft.
To reduce water wastage when dyeing fabrics Concordia Textiles continuously works on lowering the water usage of the dyeing machines. Alternatively, we can use a pigmented EVO or ECO-coating instead of dyeing our fabrics, resulting in significant water and energy savings.
We offer water-repellent products that are 100% fluorocarbonfree. We have partly biobased solutions and are working on 100% biobased solutions.
Concordia Textiles produces fabrics from recycled polyester and polyamide yarns. You can choose whether to use recycled yarn only in weft or in warp and weft.
A part of our recycled fabrics are made from REPREVE® yarn to combine uncompromised performance with trusted sustainability.
Using REPREVE® yarn offers several advantages:
Recycled polyester from used PET bottles
Known brand for recycled PES
Traceable and transparent GRS, Ökotex, SCS Global Services certified REPREVE® labels
Our fabrics are made from different types of yarns: SORONA® , REPREVE® and other recycled and biobased yarns which are GRS-certified.
We produce fabrics from biobased polyester yarns. You can choose whether to use biobased yarn only in weft or in warp and weft.
Our biobased fabrics are made from yarns such as SORONA® and others, which are GRS-certified. This combines uncompromised performance with trusted sustainability.
Using SORONA® yarn offers several advantages:
Bio-based PTT, made in part from renewable feedstock
Produces 63% less GHG-emissions vs equal amount of nylon 6
Uses 30% less energy vs equal amount of nylon 6
USDA, BiomassPla, Ökotex, Bluesign certified
Our fabrics are made from different yarns: SORONA, REPREVE and other recycled and biobased yarns which are GRS-certified.
Harvest feedstock Ferment sugar into Bio-PDO
Add TPA to BIO-PDO to produce Sorona
Fibers and fabrics created with Sorona
To reduce wastage when dyeing fabrics Concordia Textiles continuously works on lowering the water usage of the dyeing machines.
Our Greenline product range offers fabrics coloured with our pigmented EVO and ECO-dyeing. These are waterbased color coating technologies to replace normal dyeing.
These finishes can be done on different polyester and polyamide fabrics.
EVO coatings are less harmful to the environment:
Less water consumption compared to traditional dyeing
No use of catalysator in the recipe means that the coating paste does not need to be used immediately. Surplus of coating paste can be used for a next production or if necessary downcycled for other uses.
No solvents used
Traditional dyeing 150 l water per 1.000m fabric
EVO sustainable coating
per 1.000m fabric
PFC-FREE FINISH
Fluorocarbons (PFCs) have proven to be extremely persistent chemicals, both in the environment and in human tissue. Instead of using C8 or C6 chemistry, our Greenline product range offers water-repellent products that are 100% Fluorocarbon free. We have partly biobased solutions and soon 100% biobased solutions will be available.
PFC-FREE TREATMENTS:
Water-Repellent effect
LIMITATIONS:
• No dry cleaning
• No oil/dirt repellent effect
Spray of 90 before washing, spray 70/80 after 3x washing at 40°
• Not suitable in combination with PTFE membranes
High washing durability
Also on coated and laminated membranes
On request, our performance fabrics can be finished using a recycled membrane. These recycled membranes meet strict waterproofing, breathability, protection and comfort requirements. You can opt for membranes that are fully or partially recycled.
Types of membranes:
• Bio-based membrane
• Recycled membrane
