In the second session, The Role of the College Essay, representatives from Bentley University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Rochester and University of Wisconsin-Madison discussed the importance of storytelling, authenticity, and showcasing unique qualities.
The session, Applying to Selective Universities, experienced admissions officers from Babson College, Boston University and Wake Forest University shared strategies for applying to highly selective institutions, emphasizing the importance of academic rigor, extracurricular involvement, and demonstrated passion for specific subjects and universities.
The evening concluded with a mini-university fair, where the informal setting allowed for personalized questions about each institution’s programs, campus life, and admissions procedures. Thank you to the students and parents who attended the event!
