School Update
The 7th Chinese Temple Fair This year, we returned to the normal Chinese Temple Fair.
We held both the SING! Performance and the usual Funfair with games and art crafts to celebrate the Chinese Lantern Festival, which takes place 15 days after the Chinese New year. The MYP/DP Chinese team presented this Chinese Temple Fair with a theme of “月圆人团圆，你我向未来”, which means “A Day for Family Reunion, A Hopeful Future for All ”. In the year of the Rabbit, we wish everyone an excellent and prosperous year. We give our special thanks to all the Concordians, especially the dedicated performers, teachers, IT department, maintenance team, and staff and support team. G12 Deno: The Chinese Temple Fair and SING! event on Friday, February 3rd, was a truly spectacular celebration of culture. My Language and Culture Club and some other classmates organized the Costume Photobooth for the Fair. Seeing not only friends but also underclassmen and parents being able to put on costumes and have fun amongst themselves was a genuine experience. Not only did it help to validate our hard work but seeing the joy and energy of people being brought out through cosplay gave us a lens through which we used to view how alive the school was that day. Although we did not wander around the fair much because of our booth, it was clear how alive and vibrant everybody was during the Temple Fair.
