In the summer between Grade 11 and Grade 12, Concordian
students have the chance to gain firsthand experience in the dynamic business environment and engage in language immersion through the Super Brand Mall internship program in Shanghai. Here are some reflections from the students who took part in this opportunity during the summer of 2025.
Student Reflections My internship at Dragon E Tech in Shanghai was one of the coolest experiences I've had in high school. I worked on creating a point system for Superbrandmall that connects to real store checkout systems through APIs—actual business software that customers would use, not just practice problems from class.
The biggest challenge was dealing with messy, real-world data, which taught me that debugging is basically detective work. But when I finally got something working, it felt amazing.
