Writing Contest On Tuesday, February 27 2024,, the PY English Department proudly hosted th
Concordian’s very first PY English Writing Contest. The contest aimed to encourage students to take pride in their English writing skills, showcase their abilities, and inspire others through their passion for learning English. The theme, 'Festival of Stories', invited Grade 1 to Grade 5 students to immerse themselves in a world of imagination as they wrote a narrative story based on a picture prompt. Students had one hour to plan, write and edit their story. Following the contest, our English homeroom teachers and ELS teachers diligently assessed each story based on specific grade-level rubrics, evaluating story structure, story development, and use of appropriate language conventions.
