K2 Walkathon Activities & Events

On Wednesday, May 1 , 2024, we hosted st

our annual K2 Walkathon. The K2 students walked circles around the PYP gymnasium to raise funds for two local hospitals: the King Mongkut Memorial Hospital and the Bangchak Hospital. The purpose of the walkathon was to raise money to purchase equipment for treating underprivileged children. The K2 students walked laps around the gym, cheered on or accompanied by their parents. By the end of the event, they had raised an impressive 566,160 Thai Baht. This event was not just about raising funds; it was also a learning experience for the students. It was conducted in connection with the UOI “Connecting to Characters.” Students made a connection to the story “I Walk With Vanessa,” a tale that teaches children about the impact of small acts of kindness.

The students learned that their efforts, no matter how small, can make a big difference in the lives of others. The walkathon was a testament to the spirit of community service that Concordian International School instills in its students. The K2 students walked with purpose, understanding that their steps were helping children in need. Their efforts serve as a reminder that when we work together, even our youngest students can make a real impact. The K2 walkathon was a very successful fundraising effort. Thank you sincerely for the amazing parental support and the organizational efforts of our amazing K2 class parents. Working together, once again we achieved something great. Mr. Joe Savage
