Celebrating Dragons Our own Concordian Dragons’ achievements outside of school
are numerous and impressive! They span sports, music, dance and art - it would take us many, many pages to include them all! That is why our Elementary School Flag Raising events and Secondary School Assemblies provide a wonderful opportunity for these achievements to be celebrated at school, surrounded by supportive and proud peers and teachers. Here, we feature just a taste of what some of our students have achieved recently in the fields of sport and the performing arts.
Classical Ballet
Piano Competition Tate G2C and Ty G2I participated in 2 piano competitions and received the following awards:
1. International Music Competition Bonn “ Grand Prize Virtuoso” (December 2023). Tate and Ty both received First Prize awards in the young musician category and were invited to play piano at Beethoven house in Germany in last December, but were not able to attend.
Cathy received 1 place Duo classical ballet in the ATOD st
international Dance Competition Thailand 2023, and on January 19th 2024 she received her award at the ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Culture of Thailand.
2. HKYPA (Hong Kong International Performance Arts Festival and Music Competition) on February 24, 2024. Tate and Ty both won Gold Prize in the preliminary round and participated in the International Final round in Hong Kong and both received distinction awards for Piano Age group 9 years and under.
