LETTER FROM THE CEO

APRILRAI
President & CEO
We gained four new industry partners, welcomed our 41 chapter, celebrated the most internship applications in our history, launched a new membership platform, and expanded our staff welcoming former USDOT Director Tyra Redus as COMTO’s first ever Deputy CEO. st
To our volunteers and chapter leaders, you are the heartbeat of our organization I am grateful for your passion and commitment to our mission. To our sponsors and partners, thank you for standing with us. COMTO is not a temporary task force. We are an ocean undercurrent, driving change from the inside of this industry

Dear COMTO family,

For the past 4 years, it has been a pleasure and privilege serving as your President & CEO I am thankful for the visionaries who guided this organization for over 5 decades I carry on that great legacy with pride and purpose, while steering COMTO into the future and its endless possibilities.
2025 confirmed the strength of this organization and our network of chapters across North America. In a year of uncertainty impacting the transportation industry and non-profits nationwide, I am pleased to report COMTO experienced continued growth

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
VISION
To ensure transportation serves all by connecting stakeholders, developing leaders, and fostering an efficient multi-modal transportation ecosystem through training, advocacy, and partnerships.
MISSION
To be the leading voice shaping a transportation network that is people centered, safe, resilient, innovative and a driver of economic prosperity.
FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS
In 2025, COMTO navigated an unusually dynamic external environment affecting non-profit associations. These national shifts created uncertainty across the transportation industry impacting our major conference sponsorships and several membership categories
Importantly, these trends were not driven by dissatisfaction with COMTO’s value or performance, but rather by industry-wide conservative funding decisions
COMTO responded proactively and strategically, including investing in staff and reorganization where necessary, while keeping administrative expenses under control
New Industry Partnerships were secured, and we are entering 2026 with a more focused brand narrative, a more diversified pipeline of supporters, and a stronger alignment with the needs of agencies, firms, and practitioners across all modes of transportation.
