Day 2: 02 December nd
Sail past the Wachau, and arrive in Vienna (B/L/D)
Inthemorning,youwillbesailingtheDanube valley, also known as Wachau, before arriving inViennaintheafternoon.
UponarrivalinVienna,youwillhaveaprivate transfer to take you from the port to the Christmas Markets in the city centre. Your tour leader will escort you and guide you to thebestmarketstoexperience.
Enjoy an afternoon dedicated to visiting the various Christmas Markets that bring this city to life. In the evening, your private transfer will take you back to the ship at the agreed time,intimefordinneronboard.
Day 3: 03 December rd
Vienna to Durnstein and Melk (B/L/D)
Overnight, your cruise will take you to Dürnstein, a picturesque town in the Wachau Valley, arriving in the morning. Here, you can explore the charming streets lined with colorful medieval buildings and shops. The tour leader will escortyoutotheDürnsteinAbbey,withitsstrikingbluetower,thehistoriccity gatesandonecanalsoenjoyawalkalongtheDanubepromenade.
Later, return to the ship and sail to Melk. Here, you can explore the town’s enchanting streets and visit the Christmas Market as well as the Melk Abbey, an imposing Baroque masterpiece, where you can admire the Marble Hall, the abbey library with over 80,000 volumes, and the magnificent Baroque church. Day 4: 04 December th
Melk to Linz (B/L/D)
Your ship will dock at Linz early in the morning. Linz is the third largest city in Austria, making it the capital of Upper Austria. The city is a cultural hub all year round but is all the more vibrant in the winter, when the Christmas Markets are set up. In the morning, you’ll have free time to explore the city at your leisure. You might choose to visit one of Linz’s excellent museums or strollthroughtheoldtown. Onceagain,youwillbeabletovisitthetown’sChristmasMarketsonfoot.

Day 5: 05 December th
Passau disembarkation - return to Munich (B)
Thismorning,check-outafterbreakfastanddisembarkfromtheship.Youwill be taken by private transfer to Munich where you will be staying for two nights.

Enjoy a guided excursion to Melk Abbey. The imposing Baroque building of Melk Abbey, built in the early 18th century, towers majestically over the town and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world every year. This impressive structure is not only a masterpiece of Baroque architecture, but also an important center of European cultural heritage. Your journey begins in the abbey, where you will be guided through the Prälatenhof, a magnificent courtyard that impressively reflects the Baroque splendor of the monastery. The tour continues through the former imperial rooms, which now serve as museum rooms and offer a fascinating insight into the history of the abbey and its imperial guests. Another highlight is the magnificent Marble Hall and the Altane, a terrace from which you can enjoy an impressive view over the Danube Valley.
