Sylvia Arotin spreading the word.
HILE battling a debilitating illness, early childhood teacher Sylvia Arotin from Kellyville Ridge remained determined to make a difference to children’s lives. Her lifelong dream to run a Montessori School was delayed when Miss Arotin was diagnosed with a neurological disorder called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome or POTS. While recuperating and after completing a Master of Teaching in Early Childhood she gained the strength to design a logo for her own school. Now she’s on a mission to reach a million children through Guide & Grow, a childhood development and behavioural coaching platform. And it’s through her online crusade that her pivotal work in early childhood education caught the attention of the prestigious international Women Changing The World Award. Full story: page 7.
