By Paul Hopkins Reporter HUDSON — Dr. Tricia O’Reilly will serve as the next principal of Forest Avenue Elementary School. O’Reilly will succeed David Champigny, who will retire in June after 17 years in the role. O’Reilly will be a familiar face to many. She has lived in Hudson for more than 25 years. “It’s an honor to contribute to the town I love,” she said. Professionally, O’Reilly comes to Hudson from Acton, where she is the principal of Luther B. Conant Elementary School. She has more than 30 years of experience as an educator in Massachusetts. MARLBOROUGH — After 21 years of teaching at Marlborough High School, business and technology teacher Jayne Haley is celebrating her final Business Professionals of America season – and her students continue to make her proud. While about 40 of her students typically attend leadership conferences, this year, only three headed to the state competition in Southbridge. All of them took home a number of awards. Kyle Provost, president of Marlborough’s Business Club, received first place in the state in fundamental accounting. Joseph Sullivan, the club’s co-vice president, received third place in the same category. Shayla Ramon, the other co-vice-president, earned a secondplace award in payroll accounting. Duplisea to step aside after decade on Hudson Select Board By Paul Hopkins Reporter HUDSON — Longtime Hudson Select Board member Scott Duplisea has decided not to run for re-election, leaving Patrick Thayer as the only candidate on the ballot for Select
Board in May. “I was honored to serve four terms as Selectman for the Town of Hudson,” Duplisea told the Community Advocate. “It is time for me to concentrate on my family and my impending retirement.”
