SHREWSBURY - The Planning Board got a first look Dec. 1 at the proposed redevelopment at the former Beal school site on Maple Avenue. Called Beal Commons, the developers, Civico Greenly, have proposed redeveloping the school into a 75,839-square-foot
NORTHBOROUGH - Northborough residents gathered downtown Dec. 3 for the Annual Tree Lighting to welcome the holiday season. “We were very concerned about the wind and the rain,” said Community Affairs Committee’s Suzy Cieslica. “We had decided not to postpone it because of all of the moving parts that go into it, and all the different players. We have held it in the pouring rain before, so we decided to chance it.” The rain let up right as the tree lighting was kicking. “It worked out well,” Cieslica said. As part of the events, a menorah was lit and Board of Selectmen Chair Mitch Cohen addressed the audience.6
