NORTHBOROUGH – A draft of Northborough’s town budget for next year would result in a tax increase of $1,090 for the average family. At the Select Board’s March 24 meeting, Finance Director Jason Little presented the proposed budget for fiscal year 2026, detailing tax impacts, department budgets, the free cash plan, and more. The town budget increased by $2.7 million. According to Little, the average tax bill is estimated to be $10,553 for fiscal year 2026. Here’s what to know.

Cuts, but no override, for Grafton’s FY26 budget By Maureen Sullivan Assistant Editor GRAFTON – For more than a year, Grafton officials told residents to prepare for a possible override vote for fiscal 2026. Like many communities, the town has been struggling with costs outpacing revenues. When discussions began last fall, the initial deficit was $2.1 million, according to the town’s budget book.
